Practice description

I offer a safe, supportive space for you to explore whatever is on your mind—at your pace, in your own way. As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and each session is led by you. Whether you're seeking support with anxiety, low mood, life transitions, or simply want to understand yourself better, our work together will be shaped by your unique needs and experiences.

Sessions are available both in person and online, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle and comfort. Whether we meet face-to-face or virtually, you can expect a consistent, grounded, and compassionate space where you are truly heard.

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the counselling relationship. Everything shared is treated with the utmost respect and care, creating a secure environment where you can speak freely.

At the heart of my approach is the therapeutic relationship. I believe that meaningful change and deep healing happen when we feel safe, accepted, and truly seen. The trust we build together can be a powerful part of your journey—allowing for deeper reflection, self-awareness, and growth.

If you’re ready to begin, I’m here to walk alongside you.

My first session

What to Expect in Your First Session

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely natural to feel unsure, curious, or even a little nervous. Our first session together is a gentle introduction—an opportunity for us to meet, talk, and begin getting to know one another.

This initial session isn’t about diving into everything all at once. Instead, it’s a space to explore how we might work together going forward. One of the most important aspects of therapy is how well we fit together—how safe, understood, and supported you feel in the space we create. Therapy is most effective when there’s a strong, trusting bond between client and therapist, and that connection starts here.

During this first meeting, we’ll look at what brings you to counselling, what you hope to gain from it, and how I work as a person-centred therapist. You’re free to share as much or as little as feels right. We’ll also take time to reflect on whether we feel like the right match—because our compatibility is significant to the work we can do together.

In my practice, you lead the way. You set the pace. I walk alongside you.

At the core of the person-centred approach is a deep belief in your inner resources—your ability to heal, grow, and move toward what we call self-actualisation. This is the natural process of becoming more fully you—living in alignment with your values, expressing your authentic self, and realising your own potential. It’s not about “fixing” you—because you’re not broken. It’s about creating the right conditions for growth: safety, empathy, acceptance, and genuine connection.

The first session is the first step in building that foundation. From there, we move forward—together.
