About me and my therapy practice
Hello — I’m Pippa, an experienced therapist offering online counselling across London and the UK, alongside face-to-face appointments at my practice in Horsham.
People come to therapy for many different reasons and taking the first step can feel daunting. You may be feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, uncertain, or simply unsure how to hold things together. Perhaps you’re managing on the outside but struggling privately. Whatever has brought you here, it can help to have someone to talk to.
I offer a safe, confidential, supportive and non-judgmental space where you can speak openly about what you’re experiencing.
You’ll be met with care, steadiness and respect. You’ll have space to pause, reflect and begin to make sense of what feels confusing or painful.
Practice description
My focus is on how your early experiences may be shaping how you relate to others and yourself. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and gently look at how past experiences, relationships and life may be influencing the present. Often when these patterns are explored, new understanding can emerge, and with greater understanding often comes greater self-awareness, choice and confidence.
I have a particular interest and passion in helping people:-
- going through infertility challenges, including IVF, and the emotional impact these experiences can often have on self-esteem, identity and relationships.
- who’ve experienced coercive control, narcissistic or emotionally abusive relationships and trauma, given the lasting impact these experiences often have on confidence, trust and self worth
- especially young adults, who are navigating challenges with identity, self-esteem, relationships, family dynamics, disordered eating and the pressures of finding their place in the world.
We’ll work collaboratively to explore what's happening in your life now, including difficulties in relationships, feelings that are hard to understand or patterns of behaviour that no longer seem helpful. We’ll also look at how your past experiences may be influencing the present.
Alongside my clinical training, I bring extensive experience of working within organisational and leadership settings. This allows me to understand the complexities of professional identity, performance pressure and the emotional impact of responsibility.
My first session
Finding the right therapist is a personal decision and it’s important to feel comfortable with the person you’re working with. If you’re considering therapy, please feel free to get in touch, even if you’re unsure where to begin. I’d be happy to answer any questions and arrange an initial session to explore what has brought you to therapy and whether working together feels right.
I offer an initial consultation lasting 50–60 minutes; this is an opportunity for you to talk about what’s brought you to therapy, ask any questions you’d like and get a sense of what working together might feel like.
There is no obligation to continue after this session. It’s simply a chance to consider whether therapy feels right for you and indeed whether I’m the right person to support you.
If you decide to take the next step, then we’d agree on a regular session time. Therapy usually takes place weekly, with each session lasting 50 minutes at the same time each week.
I look forward to meeting you.

About me and my therapy practice
Welcome — I’m Pippa, a fully qualified Psychodynamic Therapist and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space where you can speak openly about what is troubling you. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, while gently considering how past experiences, relationships and working life may be influencing the present.
Psychodynamic theory and research suggest that our early experiences shape the way we relate — both to others and to ourselves. When these patterns are explored , new understanding can emerge. With greater understanding often comes greater self-awareness, choice and confidence.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. Some are managing on the outside while struggling privately within. Others arrive feeling overwhelmed, tearful or unsure how to hold things together.
However you are feeling, you will be met with care, steadiness and respect. In therapy, there is space to pause, reflect and begin to make sense of what feels confusing or painful.
Practice description
I offer both short-term and open-ended psychodynamic therapy from my private practice between Horsham & Cranleigh (West Sussex/Surrey border).
Psychodynamic therapy looks beneath immediate symptoms to explore the deeper emotional and relational patterns that may be shaping your current experiences. Over time, this can lead to more meaningful and sustainable change.
I work with individuals & couples and have experience supporting clients with:
• Anxiety, depression, panic and loneliness
• Stress, burnout and workplace pressures
• Redundancy and career transitions
• Coercive control, narcissistic or physical abuse and trauma
• Relationship breakdown, separation and loss
• Rejection, anger and low self-esteem
• Feelings relating to self-harm or suicidal thoughts
• Bereavement
• Fertility related challenges & IVF
Alongside my clinical training, I bring extensive experience of working within organisational and leadership settings. This allows me to understand the complexities of professional identity, performance pressure and the emotional impact of responsibility.
I am particularly interested in supporting young adults and professionals navigating early and mid-adulthood — a time when questions of identity, belonging and direction can feel especially intense.
My first session
I offer an initial consultation which takes between 50 and 60 minutes. This can be in person or online, depending on your preference. This is a chance for you to share what brings you to therapy and for us both to get a sense of whether we might work well together.
There's no obligation to continue after this meeting. It's simply an opportunity to explore whether therapy feels right for you at this time.
If we decide to work together, we'll agree on a regular time for sessions. Most clients meet weekly, though this can be adjusted based on your needs. Regular sessions are 50 minutes long and take place at the same time each week.
We'll discuss practicalities like fees, cancellation policies, and confidentiality. I'll also answer any questions you have.
