About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental space where you can explore what’s going on for you at your own pace. I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, so I aim to create an environment where you feel safe, heard, and supported from the very beginning.
My approach is person-centred and integrative, meaning I tailor our work to suit your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw on a range of therapeutic perspectives to help you better understand yourself, develop coping strategies, and move towards meaningful change.
I work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. I believe that therapy is not about “fixing” you, but about helping you reconnect with your own strengths and resilience.
Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a way that feels manageable and empowering, helping you to gain clarity and move forward with greater confidence.
Practice description
My practice is centred on providing a calm, supportive, and confidential space where you can speak openly without fear of judgement. I work in a relational and compassionate way, building a strong therapeutic relationship that forms the foundation for meaningful and effective work.
Sessions are led by you, allowing you to bring whatever feels most important. I will listen carefully, reflect thoughtfully, and gently support you in exploring patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be impacting your wellbeing.
I aim to balance empathy with appropriate challenge, supporting you to gain insight while also encouraging growth and change. Whether you are seeking short-term support around a specific issue or longer-term exploration, I will work alongside you at a pace that feels right.
Clients often say they feel genuinely listened to, understood, and more able to make sense of their experiences through our work together.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. There is no pressure to share everything straight away; we will go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I may ask some gentle questions about your background, current situation, and what you hope to gain from therapy. This helps me understand how best to support you and ensures that our work is tailored to your needs.
We will also talk through practical details such as confidentiality, boundaries, and how sessions will work, so you feel clear and informed.
Most importantly, the first session is a chance for you to get a sense of whether I am the right therapist for you. You are welcome to ask any questions, and there is no obligation to continue if it doesn’t feel like the right fit.
