About me and my therapy practice

I work integratively, with a person-centred approach at the heart of my practice. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and I aim to provide a warm, non-judgemental and collaborative space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions.

Alongside person-centred therapy, I draw on psychodynamic ideas and CBT techniques where helpful. Together, we may explore patterns, increase self-awareness by exploring possible blind spots, and develop practical tools to support change and build resilience. I work at your pace, with sensitivity and respect for your individual experiences and values.

Practice description

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP. I completed my clinical training within the NHS (IAPT, now Talking Therapies), supporting adults experiencing anxiety, depression, low mood, stress, self-esteem, trauma, major life transitions, domestic violence and substance misuse.

I have also worked with children and young people through Place2Be, using play therapy approaches to support emotional expression. In addition, I have experience delivering trauma-informed group work for children from war-affected countries.

Alongside my clinical experience, I have undertaken additional training in Islamic counselling. This has strengthened my understanding of faith, cultural identity and the role religion can play in a person’s life. I work sensitively with clients from diverse backgrounds and beliefs, and aim to create a space where each person’s worldview is respected and understood.

I currently offer online sessions only.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation, which can take place by phone or online. This gives us an opportunity to briefly discuss what has brought you to therapy, explore what you are looking for, and see whether we feel like a good fit to work together. There is no obligation to continue after this conversation.
