About me and my therapy practice
Do you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck? I'm Louise, a counsellor based in Exmouth, covering the East Devon area in person and online throughout the UK — for adults navigating anxiety, low self-worth, life transitions, and the emotional impact of big change.
Many people come to me feeling like they've been managing alone for a long time — carrying on day to day, but quietly struggling underneath. If that sounds familiar, I may be able to help.
In our sessions, we slow things down. You'll have space to talk openly and honestly, without judgement, at your own pace. I'll listen with care and curiosity — and together we can begin to understand what's been difficult, and what might need to change.
As an integrative counsellor, I don't work from a single fixed approach. Instead I draw on a range of methods depending on what feels most useful for you — whether that's exploring patterns that go back a long way, or making sense of something more recent.
Practice description
I work with adults navigating anxiety, low self-worth, life transitions, and emotional patterns that often only become clear when you have space to look at them with someone else.
I also work with people exploring identity, body image, neurodivergence and the impact of past relationships or trauma.
My clients often speak about feeling unseen, overwhelmed, or as if they've been coping for too long. Sometimes it's grief or trauma that brings someone to therapy, and sometimes it's something more subtle — a quiet sense that things aren't quite right.
In our first session we'll take time to explore what's brought you to counselling and what you're hoping for. From there, sessions are led by you. Sessions are 60 minutes and we'd usually meet weekly, though I can be flexible about what works for you. My role isn't to fix or advise, but to offer a space where you can begin to understand yourself a little better.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation, either online or by phone. This is a chance to ask any questions and get a feel for whether I might be the right fit for you.
If you decide to go ahead, ongoing sessions last 60 minutes and cost £55. I also offer reduced rates for counselling students — please feel free to ask about this.
Taking that first step can feel daunting — and sometimes it's hard to feel like your problems are worth bringing at all. They are. If anything here has resonated, you can book a free, no obligation, 20-minute intro call directly through this page.
Whoever you are, you're welcome here.

About me and my therapy practice
Do you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck? I'm Louise, a counsellor offering online counselling throughout the UK and in person from my Exmouth therapy room. I work with adults navigating anxiety, low self-worth, life transitions, and the emotional impact of big change.

Online therapy offers the same space for honest, unhurried conversation as in-person work — and for many people the familiarity of their own surroundings makes it easier to open up.
