I have capacity for both daytime and evening sessions. I offer both in person and online sessions.

I understand the pressures of time both personally and professionally and will endeavour to arrange a session the meets my client's needs.

About me and my therapy practice

You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious or stuck, or perhaps you are struggling with low self-esteem, difficult relationships, loss or experiences from your past. You might not know exactly what is wrong - only that something does not feel right and that coping alone has become difficult. Whatever has brought you here, you do not need to have everything worked out before beginning counselling.

My approach is person-centred, which means our sessions will focus on you, your experiences and what you need. I offer a calm, confidential and non-judgmental space where you can speak openly, feel heard and explore your thoughts and feelings at a pace that feels comfortable. I will not tell you what to do or expect you to fit into a particular way of working. Instead, I will listen with empathy and honesty, helping you understand yourself more deeply and recognise patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

Counselling can help you make sense of difficult emotions, develop greater self-awareness and find ways of responding to life's challenges that feel healthier and more manageable. Over time, you may feel more able to trust yourself, communicate your needs, set boundaries and make choices that reflect who you are and how you want to live.

I recognise that reaching out can feel daunting, particularly if you have never had counselling before. You are welcome to contact me with any questions or to arrange an initial conversation. This gives us an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to counselling, what you hope to gain from it and whether I may be the right counsellor for you.

I have a strong interest in supporting people through grief and loss. I also work with clients experiencing anxiety and trauma, helping them find ways to understand and manage their emotions with compassion and care. My background in working with children has deepened my appreciation for the importance of safety, trust and emotional expression in the healing process.

Practice description

My practise is centred around the individual. You are the expert of your experience. I trust in your capacity for growth and healing. My role is to support that process by providing a safe, compassionate environment where you can explore your inner world with curiosity and courage. I may use creative tools such as guided imagery, journaling, metaphor, or artistic reflection—always led by what feels right for you. Let’s make space for everything that needs to be felt. No matter how tangled or unclear things seem, we’ll gently untangle the threads together. My approach isn’t about fixing you—it’s about witnessing you, empowering you, and helping you reconnect with your innate strength.

If this resonates, I’d be honoured to support you on your journey.

My first session

Your first session is a gentle introduction to the therapeutic space, a chance for us to begin building trust, and for you to get a sense of how I work as a person-centred counsellor. You don’t need to prepare or perform. You simply show up, as you are.

We’ll talk about what led you to seek counselling, what you’re hoping for, and any concerns or questions you may have. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable. There’s no pressure to dive into everything right away.

A Bit of Housekeeping. I’ll explain how our sessions work, confidentiality, boundaries, session length and frequency, and any practical matters like fees and cancellations. This helps set clear, safe expectations from the start.
