About me and my therapy practice

Feeling overwhelmed, anxious or close to burnout?

You might look like you’re coping on the outside - holding things together at work, keeping up with responsibilities - but inside it feels relentless or close to breaking point.

Burnout, chronic stress and anxiety can leave you feeling exhausted, disconnected from the people and things you care about and unsure how to keep going.

I offer a space where you don’t have to hold it all together. Together, we can slow things down, make sense of what’s happening and begin to find a different way forward.

How I help

I work with adults who are experiencing:

• Burnout and work-related stress

• Anxiety, overthinking and feeling constantly on edge

• Feeling overwhelmed or unable to cope

• Low mood, exhaustion or loss of motivation

• Relationship difficulties

• Life transitions or periods of change

Alongside my private practice, I have a background in leadership consulting. This means I understand the pressures of demanding roles, high expectations and the impact these can have on your mental and emotional wellbeing.

Practice description

Clients describe me as warm, thoughtful and easy to talk to.

I offer a calm, reflective space where you can speak openly without judgement. Our work focuses on helping you understand what’s going on beneath the surface so that change feels possible.

My approach is predominantly psychodynamic. This means we look at how past experiences and repeating patterns may be shaping your current thoughts, relationships and sense of self. By understanding these patterns more deeply, you can begin to shift them.

This can lead to greater clarity, stronger self-understanding and more choice in how you respond to the challenges in your life.

Sessions and Fees

I work from a comfortable and convenient therapy room in the village of Markyate. There is free parking on the street or in a nearby car park. There is a single step to access the room.

Sessions are 50 minutes long. I charge £70 for both online and in-person sessions.

My first session

I offer a free initial telephone or online consultation, giving you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. If you feel you would like to proceed, we can then arrange an initial session.

The initial session is an opportunity for you to experience what therapy with me is like, while I learn more about you and what you hope to gain from therapy. Following this session, you can decide whether you feel my approach is the right fit and whether you would like to continue.
