About me and my therapy practice

I provide a safe and confidential virtual space where you don't have to hold it together for the benefit of others, and can express yourself honestly.

Clients often come to me seeking help to process complex or difficult situations – whether they happened recently or in the past. These events can have practical, real-world impacts, shaking the way you view your life, your loved ones, or yourself.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw from different therapeutic approaches to shape our sessions to your needs. Working online can sometimes feel distant, so I seek to bridge the gap by bringing a warm, human presence to our sessions. I focus on building a strong, interactive relationship where you feel heard, challenged, and supported, all in the comfort of your own space.

Whatever is affecting you right now, through gentle enquiry we will go beneath the surface to discover how you are experiencing things on a deeper level. Working at your pace, we can explore feelings of anxiety, stress, frustration, sadness – even the sensations that feel unnameable. By exploring these complex responses together, you can begin to untangle them so that you are able to emerge into a lighter, freer, yet more grounded place.

Practice description

I qualified in 2019 as an integrative counsellor, which combines an accepting and non-judgemental attitude with an analytical approach. My style is warm, empathic and engaged.

I offer weekly and fortnightly 50-minute online sessions, taking place on Google Meet.

My first session

In our first session, we will look at a counselling contract together, and agree how to work. I will be interested to hear what brings you to therapy, what you would like to change, heal or explore while in counselling, and establish your goals for therapy.

On beginning work, we'll discuss your present situation and concerns, and approach how your past may be influencing your current feelings and circumstances.

Some clients enjoy homework, which might include reflecting on the session through journaling or art, or putting new ideas into practice, and I am happy to work with you in this way if you wish to.

About me and my therapy practice

Here you will find a safe environment to explore what’s going on for you. A place where you don't have to hold it together for the benefit of others, and can express yourself honestly.

I am an integrative counsellor with a warm, empathic style, shaping my approach to your needs. Using gentle enquiry, we will understand where your more painful feelings come from, and explore your strengths. Through compassionate challenge, we will work towards liberating change.

Nestled in the heart of the friendly Hanover community at the Brighton Counselling Rooms on Down Terrace, my practice offers a deeply welcoming space where you can slow down and unpack what’s on your mind. Free from the bustle of the city centre, this confidential face-to-face space is ideal if you are navigating anxiety, sadness, depression or life changes, and need somewhere to be truly heard.

Whatever is affecting you right now, through gentle enquiry we will go beneath the surface to discover how you are experiencing things on a deeper level. Working strictly at your pace, we can explore feelings of anxiety, stress, frustration, sadness – even the sensations that feel unnameable. By exploring these complex responses together, you can begin to untangle them, allowing you to emerge into a lighter, freer yet more grounded place.

While counselling is a talking-based therapy, a room setting allows us to work creatively if you wish. You may find it helpful to express complex certain ideas or difficult feelings through drawing, speaking about your dreams, or reading things you have written.

Some clients enjoy homework, which might include reflecting on the session through journaling or art, or putting new ideas into practice, and I am happy to work with you in these ways if they appeal to you.

Practice description

I qualified in 2019 with a postgraduate diploma in integrative counselling. My approach combines an accepting and non-judgmental attitude with thoughtful analysis.

Practicing from comfortable, quiet therapy rooms at 46 Down Terrace (BN2 9ZH), I provide a reliable, contained setting. I offer weekly or fortnightly 50-minute sessions tailored to clients who value the privacy and focus of a dedicated space.

Clients often come to me when they are struggling with sadness, depression, anger or anxiety. Some feel unseen, like they are 'not enough’, or alternatively that they are ‘too much’. Others are looking for space to process a complex or difficult situation that life has presented, either recently or at some time in the past.

As we work, we will pay attention to how we connect, because this often reflects patterns of thought and behaviour that show up elsewhere in your life.

About me and my therapy practice

You may be someone who has taken, or is considering taking, a less conventional path in life or parenthood.

Perhaps you are navigating solo motherhood, co-parenting, or thinking about different routes into having a child. You might also be carrying the emotional impact of a path that hasn't unfolded as you had envisaged.

At the same time, you may be struggling with the realisation that your life doesn’t fit a conventional template, or be feeling the strain of supporting others without always being supported yourself.

While being a generalist therapist, I have a subsidiary interest in supporting clients navigating non-traditional family structures, identity shifts and the emotional transitions of parenthood. While I do not provide technical or legal counselling for fertility treatments, I offer a warm, open space to explore the emotional landscape of unconventional family life.

My personal experience gives me an awareness of the emotional complexity that can arise in areas such as solo parenting, co-parenting, and alternative routes to family-building. However, I will always approach your experience with curiosity and care, recognising that your path and feelings are individual to you.

I offer a calm, thoughtful, and non-judgemental relationship in which you don’t have to justify the shape your life has taken, and where you can find the space to understand and process your experiences.

Practice description

I qualified in 2019 with a postgraduate diploma in integrative counselling. My approach combines an accepting and non-judgmental attitude with thoughtful analysis.

Because the quality of the working relationship between client and counsellor is very important, I offer a free 15-minute introductory call to help us decide if we are a good fit.

My first session

Our first session is an invitation to pause, catch your breath, and share what has brought you to therapy.

Together, we will look over a simple counselling contract to ensure you feel safe and clear about how we work. We will then gently explore your current situation, and what you hope to get out of our time together.

Moving forward, we will focus on your present concerns while honouring how your past influences your current choices. Regular, informal reviews will ensure therapy continues to feel helpful and suits your needs.
