About me and my therapy practice

You’re holding it all together, but only just.

Maybe you've been carrying things alone for a while and masking how hard it’s been just to get through the day.

You're wondering if you can ask ChatGPT to help untangle your brain.

You feel everything so deeply it hurts.

You might feel like you're "too much" and yet still "not good enough".

Everyone’s got an opinion about what you should do, but you're not even sure if you know who you are anymore.

You're wondering if you're broken.

You’ve been thinking about going to therapy for a while.

Now you’re here, wondering if anyone will really get it.

You're not alone, and you don't have to do it all on your own 💚

I firmly believe that you are the only person who's the real expert on you. And I deeply believe in your ability to heal and recover. My aim will be to be alongside you, and support you, while you do.

I'll offer you an warm, authentic, occasionally sweary, space to talk and reflect, where we can make sense of things together.

I'll work with you to create the kind of relationship where you feel safe enough to be your true self, as you gradually untangle things.

I have no agenda, and you decide the pace that we go at.

If you’re thinking about starting counselling, or coming back to it, I’d be glad to hear from you

And just to add:

I'd like to welcome you to bring all of you into this space, including the parts that have been shaped by culture, identity, class, race, gender, neurodivergence, trauma, or anything else that’s impacted how you move through the world. I pay close attention to the systems we're all living in, and how they mess with our sense of safety, worth, and belonging.

After spending a few years working in a Black-led community counselling service, and I'm very mindful of all the ways injustice and inequality impact mental health. I do my absolute best to try to create a space where none of that has to be left at the door.

About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Kate 🙂

I offer a warm, supportive and genuine place where you can talk openly, feel heard, and explore whatever’s going on, without pressure, judgement, or the need to perform.

I'm a Person-Centred Counsellor, which means I work from the belief that you’re the expert in your own life and that I trust in your capacity to heal and grow on your own terms once you feel like you've found the right type of counselling space for you. I won't analyse you. It’s more about creating the kind of relationship where you feel safe enough to be your true self, and I’ll be alongside you as you gradually untangle things.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or trying to understand yourself better, we can work through it together. We go at your pace and you're in the driving seat.

You're welcome to bring anything into the room, including how race, identity, heritage, or life experiences have impacted your mental health. I pay close attention to the systems we live within, and how oppression, trauma, and privilege can impact mental health and self-worth.

You might find this space helpful if:

  • You’ve been masking or holding it together for a long time
  • You’re navigating the complexities of ADD, ADHD, AuDHD, neurodivergence, or burnout
  • You want to make sense of things in a space that feels kind, and authentic

Practicalities

  • I work online, with adults across the UK
  • Sessions are in English
  • I'm a member of the BACP and work within their Ethical Framework
  • I'm committed to ongoing learning, supervision, and reflective practice

If you’re thinking about starting counselling, or coming back to it, I’d be glad to hear from you 💚

Practice description

I work online with adults across the UK, offering a calm, collaborative space where we can explore whatever you're carrying - whether it’s stress, identity questions, burnout, or the need to feel more like yourself again.

My practice is grounded in anti-oppressive values. I’ve spent several years counselling within a Black-led community service, and I continue to reflect on how power, race, heritage and social context show up in therapy. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and hold space with respect for your lived experience.

Before retraining as a counsellor, I worked in corporate marketing for over 20 years, for some of the UK’s biggest brands. That experience gave me a deep understanding of how deeply environments of stress, pressure and performance can impact our wellbeing.

I also deliver Mental Health First Aid (MHFA®) training across schools, workplaces, and communities. As an MHFA England instructor member, I care about making mental health support practical, accessible, compassionate, and stigma-free.

Finding a time that works

I currently have space for new clients on Mondays and Fridays during the day and I have two evening slots available on Wednesdays and 6pm and 8pm.

All sessions are held online, and while I’m based in Ealing, I work with adults living anywhere in the UK.

If you're wondering whether we can find a time that fits around your life, you're very welcome to get in touch

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute consultation on Zoom before we begin

This isn’t a full counselling session, just a relaxed, no-pressure chance to meet and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

You’re welcome to:

• Say hello and get a feel for how I work

• Share a little about what’s brought you here (if you’d like to)

• Ask any questions you have about the process and what to expect

There’s no expectation to go into detail or make any decisions on the spot. Some people use the time to talk things through, others just want to check how it feels. Either way, it’s your space.

If that sounds helpful, feel free to get in touch and we’ll find a time that works 💚
