About me and my therapy practice
Maybe you are navigating health challenges that have changed how you see yourself.
Perhaps you are carrying loss or grief of a loved one, or relationship that hasn't had the space to be fully felt yet.
Maybe your relationships feel strained, distant, or painful.
It could be that everything just feels like too much. Overwhelm can build when life feels relentless, leaving little space to breathe.
You might be struggling with patterns of addiction that once helped you cope, but no longer serves you.
Or maybe you are questioning your identity, trying to understand who you are and where you belong.
If any of this resonates, counselling could offer a place to begin.
A space where you don't have to explain everything perfectly.
A space where you can be met with understanding, not judgement.
A space to gently explore what is going on beneath the surface, at your own pace.
Counselling isn't about being fixed. Its about being supported, understood, and empowered to find your own way forward.
If you've been thinking about reaching out, this could be your sign to take the first step.
You don't have to do it alone.
Garradh Anam Counselling is based in Cullen, Moray.
I am an Integrative Counsellor, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities and tailor them to your individual needs.
I allow you to explore your thoughts and feeling safely, to make sense of your experiences and to reconnect with yourself. Through this process, you can begin to build resilience, gain clarity, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward.
Practice description
I don’t believe in putting labels on people or focusing on what’s ‘wrong.’ I see the struggles you’re facing as natural, meaningful responses to what life has thrown your way.
My hope is to help you feel more empowered — whether that’s by simply talking things through or finding creative ways to gain clarity of what’s weighing on you.
I offer sessions over the phone, by video call, or in person — whatever feels safest and most comfortable for you. Just let me know what you’d prefer when you reach out.
I also work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework, so you can trust that I’ll always approach our work together with care, respect, and integrity.
My first session
The first session is a time of exploration where we can get to know each other and help you to decide if I would be the right counsellor to help you.
I’d be interested in finding out what issues you are experiencing and, what you would hope to achieve from counselling. It creates an oportunity to explain how the process works and answer any questions you may have.
Some clients prefer a short-term approach, whilst others find it beneficial to take sessions on a longer-term basis. I operate on an open end, where clients are welcome to come back to therapy should you require.
