About me and my therapy practice

Stuck? Overwhelmed? Burnt out? Feeling vulnerable? I offer a human-to-human, sensitive and compassionate approach. Looking for help is brave. Wondering what to do or where to go next? Let’s connect and see where that takes you.

My practice is non-discriminatory and inclusive; welcoming and intentional. I can help with a wide range of issues including anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, grief, life changes and relationships. I provide a safe space without judgment in which you can explore and make sense of what is going on.

ADHD, a lifelong condition affecting all genders, is an area in which I take a keen interest professionally. My own ‘later-in-life’ diagnosis inspired me, after completing my counselling degree, to study and train further; enabling me to help other adults in a similar situation. Together we can sift through what is bringing you to counselling and clarify where your diagnosed or suspected ADHD may or may not be having an impact. I offer information and education to improve your understanding of ADHD and also a framework to identify your individual ADHD portrait.

I am comfortable working with and have experience of many facets of life; personal loss, high pressure working environments, chronic illness, military life, infertility, living in a foreign country, parenting. I have a trauma informed approach to my clinical practice and am an LGBTQIA+ ally.

Practice description

As a Humanistic Counsellor I put you, the client, at the centre of our work together; you lead and I will be by your side. Respecting that each of us is a unique person, I will help you increase your self-awareness and self-compassion. Jointly we will develop a relationship and use this as power for change, healing and personal growth.

Initially we can have a 15 minute conversation. This is a no-pressure opportunity for you to see if I am someone you could feel safe with and be able to talk to. Next we may arrange a one off session and see how it goes. Sometimes one longer session might be more attractive to you; a chance to see what counselling with me might look like. If you choose regular therapy I usually agree to meet for 50 minutes once a week.
