About me and my therapy practice

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma, addiction, motherhood and life transitions, as well as those seeking greater recognition of themselves, their patterns and relationships, and a deeper sense of meaning and direction in their lives.

I am a MBACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist in Bristol (BS2) with have over 30 years experience working therapeutically with adults, families and children in a range of settings.

Practice description

My practice is grounded in a relational approach and informed by psychodynamic, humanistic and Jungian thinking. Working in an integrative way allows us to explore your experiences at depth, considering how past relationships and patterns may influence your present life, while also creating space for new possibilities and understandings.

I understand that seeking therapy is a meaningful first step. I offer a thoughtful and collaborative space where we can explore what is important to you, at a pace that feels manageable and supportive. Through reflection, dialogue and gentle challenge, therapy can help you develop greater awareness to unconscious patterns, deepen self-recognition, and open up new possibilities for change and growth

Experience

I have worked as a therapist for Mothers for Mothers, Age UK, and I have worked both privately and as an advanced practitioner for the NHS, Local Authorities, Bristol University and for drug rehabilitation, sex work and mental health charities in Bristol and in London.

My work is informed by many years of supporting people from diverse ages, cultures and walks of life, as well as by my own lived experience. Together, these help me to offer therapy that is respectful, curious and responsive to individual needs.
