About me and my therapy practice
Hi! I'm Debbie.
Congratulations on taking your first step on the road to recovery, wellness and wholeness.
Struggling with the weight of past experiences, anxiety or feeling stuck? Perhaps you experience pain that's hard to name or a sense of inability to cope.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, grief, or seeking personal growth, you don't need to tackle it alone.
I offer a warm, compassionate and confidential meeting point where we can explore what feels difficult, overwhelming or confusing. I believe healing happens through relationship and connection. This can still take place through video call and telephone.
Practice description
Online and telephone services offer the flexibility to connect with me from the comfort and safety of your own space.
I hold a 2:1 BA(hons) in 'Theology and Counselling'. This robust training and experience has equipped me to work integratively, drawing on Psychodynamic, Person-centred, Gestalt and CBT within a coherent, trauma-informed framework. This gives flexibility to tailor therapy to you, moving fluidly between present and past experiences, thoughts and feelings, leading to wholeness.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute telephone conversation for us to decide whether we may work well together.
During this conversation, I will take a note of your contact details.
If you decide to go ahead, I will send you an agreement to be read, signed and dated along with my privacy notice to be read.
If you decide not to pursue, your contact details will be destroyed and erased within 14 days of contact.
During our first session, we will explore further what has brought you to this point and agree how we will work together. This session provides an opportunity for you to ask questions about how I work, the process involved and any other concerns that may have arisen around the contract and privacy notice.

Practice description
I'm Debbie. I provide integrative counselling and psychotherapy, holding a 2:1 BA(hons) in 'Theology and Counselling'.
Our therapeutic relationship lies at the heart of the work, being the foundation for reflection, growth and transformation. I offer a grounded, compassionate presence where all parts of you are welcome - even the ones that may feel messy, hidden or hard to speak about. Your choices are held with respect.
Working integratively means I draw from Psychodynamic, person-centred, Gestalt and CBT within a coherent framework. This gives flexibility to tailor therapy to you, moving fluidly between present and past experiences, thoughts and feelings, leading to wholeness.
