About me and my therapy practice

I offer a free online consultation, giving us the opportunity to talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you are hoping to gain from counselling. It is also a chance for you to see whether I am the right therapist for you. I believe the relationship between client and therapist is at the heart of effective therapy, and creating a safe, comfortable and non-judgemental space is essential.

I offer online therapy throughout the UK and internationally, as well as face-to-face sessions from a quiet and comfortable office in Stoneleigh/Epsom, just a 5-minute walk from Stoneleigh Station.

I am fully insured to work with clients worldwide.

Fees:

Individual therapy – £75 per 50-minute session

Couples therapy – £100 per 50-minute session

I also offer concessionary rates for students and those on a low income. Please get in touch to discuss this.

Practice description

I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, working with a wide range of clients and complex issues. My experience began within the NHS, supporting clients with varied mental health difficulties. I have also worked with One in Four, counselling adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and Suicide & Co, supporting people bereaved by suicide.

These experiences have given me a particular understanding of trauma and the importance of working in a slow, safe and compassionate way, always respecting each person’s individual pace.

As an Integrative therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and interventions, tailoring therapy to your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. My core approach is Person-Centred, focusing on empathy, acceptance and building a genuine therapeutic relationship. I also integrate CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy where appropriate, helping you understand patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviours, develop coping strategies and work towards positive change.

Alongside my professional training and experience, I also draw on my own life experiences, which have shaped the therapist I am today. I believe difficult experiences can, with the right support, be transformed into something positive.

For me, it is a privilege to walk alongside my clients. I aim to provide a safe, warm and non-judgemental space where you feel truly heard, understood and accepted.

I believe finding the right therapist is incredibly important. Therapy should be shaped around you — your experiences, your needs and what you want to achieve. Whether you are looking to understand the past, manage what you are experiencing now, or find the confidence to move forward, I will work alongside you at your pace.

My first session

It can feel daunting coming to your first therapy session, even if you have had therapy before. I understand that taking that first step can feel difficult, so we can take things at your own pace.

During our first session, I will ask some general questions about your wellbeing and health, while also getting to know you a little better. We will talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you may be struggling with and what you hope to get from counselling.

There is no expectation that you have to share everything straight away. You are in control of what you choose to talk about, and we can take our time building a trusting therapeutic relationship.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to get a feel for how I work and to decide whether you feel I am the right therapist for you. Finding the right fit is important, and my aim is to provide a safe, warm and non-judgemental space where you feel comfortable being yourself.
