About me and my therapy practice
“Every story deserves to be heard. Every person deserves to heal.”
I know that life can bring experiences that leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in patterns, or unsure of how to move forward. I am passionate about helping victim survivors of domestic abuse, both female and male, individuals who have been impacted by bereavement or loss, and those individuals who are feeling alone in their world. My own personal lived experiences have given me insight into how life’s challenges can impact our sense of identity, self-worth, mental wellbeing and our everyday life. Whether you’re beginning therapy for the first time or continuing your healing journey, counselling with me offers a calm, compassionate place to explore your story at a pace that feels right for you.
At Emma & You Therapy, you’ll find a warm, welcoming space where you can feel truly heard, understood, and supported - exactly as you are.
Practice description
How I Work
At Emma & You Therapy, healing happens through connection - not pressure. I believe that every person carries the potential, wisdom and resilience within them to shape their own story, and my role is to walk alongside you as you rediscover your voice and inner strength.
I offer an integrative, holistic approach to counselling, drawing on a mix of therapeutic models to meet your unique needs. This means sessions are grounded in empathy, presence, and collaboration - and tailored to you, not a one-size-fits-all formula.
What You’ll Experience in Therapy
I offer you a non-judgmental approach to help you tell your story and explore the impact this is having upon you and the relationships around you. It is a space where your feelings matter, and your pace is respected. I work in a trauma-informed way, which means:
We may explore coping strategies and co-create a personalized toolkit which will help you to cope better and live a more fulfilling life in the here and now.
We may gently and safely explore how past experiences influence the present at your own pace.
We may gain a greater insight through collaborative exploration into your relationship patterns, with others and most importantly, yourself.
We may work on creating a greater sense of self-awareness, resilience, acceptance and self- confidence.
