Availability

I’m currently welcoming new clients for online evening sessions, with more daytime and in-person availability opening up in September. If you’re considering therapy, you’re very welcome to get in touch and we can explore whether working together feels right for you.

About me and my therapy practice

I believe therapy is a space where you should be able to bring your whole self, not just the parts that feel easy to explain or make sense of.

I work collaboratively, with curiosity and compassion. I won’t pretend to have all the answers or tell you what you should do. Instead, we’ll take time to understand what’s going on for you and what might be sitting underneath it.

Sometimes that might mean looking at patterns in your relationships or experiences from the past and considering how they may still be showing up today. We might explore questions around identity, meaning, belonging or the choices you’re facing. At other times, the work might be much more rooted in the here and now, noticing what you’re feeling, thinking or needing in the moment.

My approach draws from Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Existential and Mindfulness-based approaches, alongside inner-child and compassionate reparenting work where it feels helpful.

I’m not here to “fix” you. I’m interested in helping you understand yourself with greater curiosity and compassion, so that together we can explore what feels right for you.

Practice description

My practice is for people who may be going through a difficult chapter, feeling stuck, or wondering whether life is supposed to feel this way. Sometimes, you might simply need someone to walk alongside you for a period of time, while you make sense of where you are and what you need.

You might be navigating changes in your relationships, work or family life, questioning who you are or where you fit, feeling burnt out from constantly holding things together, or carrying experiences that you haven’t really had the space to process.

You don’t need to arrive with a neatly packaged problem. You might know exactly why you’re here, or you might just have a feeling that something needs to change. We can start wherever you are.

I offer a warm, down-to-earth space where there’s room to be human. You can cry, laugh, ramble, sit quietly, change your mind or say, “I don’t know.” There’s no expectation to perform, have the right words or make everything sound okay.

I’m particularly mindful of how culture, identity, relationships and the expectations we grow up with can influence the way we understand ourselves and move through the world. These things can be explored openly and without needing to leave parts of yourself at the door.

I offer online and in-person sessions and currently have online evening availability, with more daytime and in-person availability opening from September. I also offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can meet, ask questions and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

My first session

Our first session is a little different from our ongoing sessions, as it gives us an opportunity to get to know each other and begin to understand what has brought you to therapy.

We’ll talk about what you’re currently experiencing, what you’d like support with and a little about your background and experiences. I’ll also ask some important questions about your wellbeing, including any current or previous mental health support, medication and risk, so that I can understand your needs and consider how best to support you.

This isn’t about having the “right” answers or telling your story perfectly. You can share at your own pace, and you can ask questions too. I’ll also explain how I work, confidentiality and its limits, and what you can expect from our sessions.
