I'm Niall, a British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy registered counsellor. 

Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, depression, work related stress, and low mood starts to build.

You may be finding it harder to switch off, struggling with motivation, or feeling weighed down by expectations.

Counselling offers a safe and confidential space to pause, reflect, and understand what’s going on beneath the surface without judgement or pressure.

My approach to counselling and psychotherapy is rooted in the person-centred tradition. This means I believe you possess the innate ability and inner resources to solve your own challenges and achieve lasting personal growth. It is my role to work with you to create the right environment for you to work through the issues you are facing.

Working with through an easy to use online videocall system, I offer a warm, safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you are fully accepted and empowered as the expert of your own life. 

Working online also means that you can access counselling in a way convenient to you.

Together we can create some breathing room for you to feel more like you again and Get Well.

Perhaps you have already had therapy and made some meaningful progress, but want to maintain momentum and prevent old patterns from resurfacing.

You may have overcome anxiety, depression, burnout, or a difficult period in your life, and now you want to protect the gains you’ve made.

Together, we will look at what helps you thrive, what puts you at risk of slipping backwards, and how to build a lifestyle that supports emotional resilience, reinforces healthy habits, and gives you long‑term strategies to help you to Stay Well.

My first session

Successful therapy is built upon trusted relationships. That's why I offer a confidential and free initial assessment session where we can explore what you are looking for from therapy and how things might work. 

You are in control - and can ask me whatever questions you need to help you decide whether I am the right therapist for you.

After that, in our first session we will discuss how we will approach crucial issues such as confidentiality, and finalise our approach to working together. This helps maintain momentum and build a consistent rhythm that supports meaningful change.
