I offer daytime and evening appointments during the week. You can choose the way of working that feels most comfortable for you, whether that’s face to face, meeting online or telephone.
About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes the life you've built no longer feels like it fits who you are. You may be carrying the weight of caring for others, navigating changes in relationships, work, health, parenthood, living with loss, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself. Even when life looks manageable on the outside, it can feel very different underneath.
My approach is warm and collaborative, providing a place where you can explore your experiences at your own pace. Together, we'll look at the patterns, relationships, and life events that may be affecting your wellbeing, confidence, sense of identity, and ability to move forward.
Much of my work focuses on supporting people through life transitions, including bereavement, caring responsibilities, career or relationship changes, and questions of identity and self-worth. I also work with people experiencing anxiety, stress, depression and low self-esteem. My aim is to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and find a way forward that feels right for you.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked across both the charity and business sectors. That experience gave me a strong understanding of the pressures of balancing work, relationships, caregiving, and everyday responsibilities, and how easy it can be to appear capable while struggling quietly beneath the surface.
Practice description
My approach is primarily person-centred and humanistic, while drawing on other therapeutic approaches where they may be helpful. I work collaboratively and tailor therapy to your individual needs. Whether you are looking for short-term support around a specific issue or longer-term therapy for deeper personal exploration, we can decide together what feels right for you.
I am a qualified registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within its Ethical Framework to ensure safe, ethical, and professional practice. I also undertake regular continuing professional development to support my ongoing learning and development.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute introductory telephone call where you can ask any questions, talk about what has brought you to counselling, and get a sense of how I work. It is also an opportunity for us to decide whether working together feels like the right fit.
