I currently have space to welcome new clients and offer both in-person in Wateringbury in Kent or online from across the UK.
Many of the people I work with really value the flexibility of online sessions, they can connect from their own space, whether that’s at home or somewhere they feel calm and comfortable. Online counselling can make it a little easier to fit support into your week, and we can meet via MS Teams, Google Meet, or even by phone.
If you’d like to talk things through or see whether I might be the right fit for you, you’re very welcome to get in touch to arrange a free online consultation. You can reach me at hello@lrcounsellingandwellbeing.co.uk or on 07394 992535 - I’d love to hear from you.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer counselling to adults (18+) navigating life’s challenges - whether you're facing something big or feeling stuck in the everyday. I specialise in anxiety, low self-esteem, bereavement, relationship concerns, workplace stress and life transitions.
I’m a fully qualified and BACP-registered counsellor. I offer online sessions accessible anywhere in the UK and in-person sessions in Kent. I provide both short-term, focused therapy and longer-term, in-depth support depending on your needs.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming - whether you’re experiencing anxiety, low self-confidence, feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns, or navigating relationship, work, or major life changes. I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, explore what’s happening, and find a way forward that feels right for you.
I work with a wide range of issues including but not limited to:
• Anxiety and stress
• Low self-esteem and confidence
• Bereavement and Loss
• Depression and low mood
• Relationship and family concerns
• Workplace stress and burnout
• Life transitions and personal growth
Practice description
My approach is warm, grounded, and empathetic - professional but never clinical - so you can feel at ease being yourself. I listen without judgement and adapt each session to your individual needs, blending different counselling methods to suit your personality and situation.
Alongside my general counselling work, I have specialist training and extensive experience in bereavement and loss through my work with a leading UK bereavement charity and a local hospice. I understand that grief is deeply personal and can affect every part of life. I offer gentle, compassionate support to help you navigate your own path through loss.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in recruitment, which gave me valuable insight into a wide range of working environments, career transitions, and workplace pressures. This experience helps me support clients facing career uncertainty, workplace conflict, burnout, or major life changes with both empathy and practical understanding. Sometimes dissatisfaction at work is about more than the job itself, it can be connected to deeper challenges or long-standing thought patterns. Counselling provides a safe space to explore these underlying issues and discover new ways to restore balance, purpose, and wellbeing.
My first session
Choosing to begin counselling is an important step, and it’s natural to have questions about how it works and whether it’s the right fit. My approach is collaborative, meaning we’ll work together to understand your needs and find strategies that support your wellbeing. Every person’s journey is unique, so our work will be tailored to what feels right for you.
The first step is a free telephone or online 20 minute consultation, where we can discuss your situation, answer any questions, and explore whether my approach is the right fit for you. This is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation to help you feel confident about starting your counselling journey.

Practice description
Alongside my general counselling practice, I have experience working with younger adults navigating identity, relationships, and early career decisions, and I recognise that the longer-term impact of the pandemic has shaped many people’s confidence, sense of direction, and stability during key stages of development.
In addition to this I have particular experience in bereavement and loss, having worked with a UK bereavement charity and within a hospice setting, which has given me a strong understanding of how deeply personal grief can be and the importance of compassionate, individualised support.
Before training as a counsellor, I worked in recruitment, providing valuable insight into workplace dynamics, career development, and the pressures many people face professionally. I support clients with career decisions, workplace stress, burnout, and periods of transition, combining empathy with practical understanding.
My approach is warm, grounded, and empathetic - professional without feeling clinical. I work in an integrative, person-centred way, adapting each session to suit your needs, personality, and circumstances. I believe that a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful and lasting change.
