About me and my therapy practice
Life’s journey takes us through many different environments, experiences, and challenges. From attending three very different schools— a deprived local school, a Waldorf school, and a Catholic school— I learned early on the importance of connecting with people from all walks of life. As someone with dyslexia, my greatest learning wasn’t from textbooks but from understanding different perspectives and adapting to new environments. This deep appreciation for inclusion and the unique paths we all walk is what led me to person-centred counselling.
As a fully qualified person-centred counsellor, I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. In a world that often demands so much from us, I believe therapy is a space that is just for you - a place where you can feel seen, heard, and understood without pressure or expectation. I believe you already hold the answers within yourself, and my role is to walk alongside you with empathy and support as you uncover them.
I have spent decades working in the care system in various roles, and I understand the deep emotional and physical demands that come with supporting others. As a young parent and now a mother of three adult boys I know first-hand how caregivers can become the unseen roots of the tree, holding everything together while often neglecting their own needs. I see how labels can hide people and circumstances can create isolation and feelings of difference. Whether you are a caregiver, navigating loss, facing illness, or living with a diagnosis; I will see you - not just the labels or circumstances, but the person behind them.
Choosing therapy is an act of courage - a step toward self-understanding, healing, and growth. I believe in offering relational connections, so that you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I provide a space of empowerment, warmth, and inclusion, where you can reconnect with yourself and move toward a more authentic you.
Practice description
My practice is based in person-centred theory but I am able to use my knowledge of other modalities and techniques in collaboration with clients and their individual needs.
As a neurodivergent person myself, I offer a genuinely understanding and affirming space for neurodivergent individuals.
I have no fixed ideas around how many sessions a client should have or how often they should come. I offer a flexible space and understand that clients have both time and financial constraints impacting their access to therapy.
My first session
I value genuine, human-to-human connection. In our first session, I take time to really meet you — not just your challenges, but you as a whole person. I see our relationship as the foundation for meaningful therapeutic work.
Initial sessions are fully payable. Please contact me regarding concession rates which are limited.
