About me and my therapy practice

Feeling stuck in something that no longer fits?

Sometimes you can feel stuck or struggle to feel like yourself. Anxiety, relationships, past experiences or feeling different can all play a part.

You might find yourself going over things, trying to understand how you feel or wondering why certain patterns keep returning.

It could be something recent, or something that's been there for a long time but hasn't fully settled.

In these moments, having a space where you can talk openly and be listened to without judgement can begin to make a difference.

You’ll find a calm, accepting space where we can explore what's happening together, helping you understand yourself with greater clarity and compassion.

As that understanding develops, things can begin to feel clearer, opening up the possibility of finding a better way forward.

You don't have to go through this on your own.

Practice description

My approach

I work in a person-centred way, offering a supportive and confidential space where you can talk openly, at your own pace.

There's no expectation to have clear answers or know where to begin. We start with whatever feels most present and explore it together.

I welcome neurodivergent clients, including those who are autistic or have ADHD. There's no expectation to think, feel or communicate in a particular way, or to be anyone other than yourself.

I won't tell you what to think or what to do. Instead, I'll help you slow things down, make sense of your experience and, over time, find a way forward that feels right for you.

Areas I can help with

I work with young people and adults, supporting a range of experiences, including:

  • Feeling stuck or unable to move forward
  • Anxiety and overthinking
  • Low mood or loss of direction
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Past experiences affecting the present
  • Self-worth and identity
  • Neurodivergence, identity and self-acceptance

Whatever you’re bringing, we can take the time to explore it together in a way that feels manageable and right for you.

My background

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent nearly 30 years working in secondary schools, supporting young people and families, many navigating additional needs and neurodiversity.

I also know personally what it’s like to feel stuck in something that once made sense—but no longer does.

That experience, and my own counselling, shaped the way I work today.

Getting started

You don’t need to have everything figured out before getting in touch.

A free introductory conversation is available, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you. There’s no pressure to make a decision.

If something here feels familiar, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
