About me and my therapy practice

I'm an integrative counsellor, predominantly drawing on person-centred techniques. I won’t ask you to recount your childhood, go over every detail of your past, or focus on a particular event. Your story is yours, and I follow the path you choose. I work alongside you, supporting you as you explore your thoughts and feelings in a way that feels natural and comfortable.

Practice description

Life isn’t always easy to navigate. In fact, at times, it can be incredibly difficult; full of twists and turns, ups and downs, and moments when you simply don’t know what’s around the next bend.

It reminds me of driving along one of those single-track roads where you can’t see what’s ahead, and suddenly you need to reverse or squeeze into a tight space to let someone else pass. Sometimes life can feel a bit like that too; as though you’re stuck somewhere that’s difficult to move forward from, and you’re not quite sure which way to turn.

Counselling can give you a place to pause and take a breath. Somewhere you can talk openly, off-load what’s been weighing on you, and begin to look at the road ahead with greater clarity and confidence.

I support people with many different issues, including anxiety, ADHD, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, low self-esteem, relationship struggles, family difficulties, or the heartbreak of losing a beloved pet. Sometimes, there may not be one particular thing you can put your finger on; life may simply feel difficult or overwhelming, or you may just feel 'lost'.

Whatever has brought you here, you can talk to me freely and be accepted just as you are, without judgement. I’ll listen, and I’ll walk alongside you as we untangle and explore whatever is on your mind.

Counselling can be a place to rest, reflect and build your strength. A place where you don’t have to have all the answers, and where you can take things at your own pace.

Taking that first step and reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, but it's also a brave step towards feeling more like yourself again – or perhaps discovering parts of yourself that have been lost along the way.

Whenever you’re ready, I’d love to hear from you.
