About me and my therapy practice

Life can feel heavy at times, especially when you’re used to carrying on, staying strong, and supporting others around you. You may be the person others rely on, while your own needs quietly take a back seat.

I offer a safe space where you can slow down and focus on yourself. A space where you can be heard, make sense of what’s going on for you, and begin to untangle what you're feeling and why.

You might sometimes find yourself overthinking, putting others first, or unsure how to respond in challenging situations. I can help you navigate these experiences by exploring family dynamics and relational challenges, supporting you in responding in the moment with a greater sense of stability and calm.

Practice description

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of approaches to work flexibly and create a space where you feel heard and accepted. I can support you in building resilience, setting healthier boundaries, and navigating life’s challenges. Whether you’re looking for support to understand yourself, to explore personal growth, or to manage difficult relationships.

Life transitions often intensify feelings of overwhelm. You might be questioning who you are, what you want, or how to move forward. Together, we can make sense of what’s happening, reconnect with your needs and values, and explore what feels important to you. Alongside exploring your thoughts and feelings, I can gently incorporate coaching techniques where helpful to help support you not only in understanding yourself, but also in making meaningful, manageable changes in your life.

My first session

Our first session is an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to gain from therapy.

During this session, I may ask some gentle questions about your current circumstances, personal history, and any goals or hopes you have for counselling. This also allows you to ask questions about how I work and whether working together feels like the right fit for you.

I am suicide-informed and able to hold space for difficult or distressing thoughts with care and sensitivity. My practice is inclusive and affirming, and I welcome clients from all backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse individuals.
