I have experience offering counselling in person and remotely, including telephone and online sessions, and I am committed to ongoing supervision, professional development and reflective practice.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within its ethical framework.

Areas I work with

I work particularly well with clients experiencing:

Anxiety and overthinking

Burnout and overwhelm

Low self-esteem and self-confidence

Neurodivergence and feeling different

ADHD and autism-related challenges

High sensitivity

Work-related stress

Life transitions and identity

Relationship difficulties

Social anxiety

Trauma and its ongoing impact

Grief and loss

Bullying and difficulties with belonging

Career uncertainty and work pressures

Separation and divorce

Money worries

Young people's emotional wellbeing

I also welcome clients who don't necessarily have a diagnosis or clearly defined problem but have a sense that something isn't quite right.

A particular interest in neurodivergence

I have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent clients and people who have spent a long time feeling that they don't quite fit the expectations around them.

Therapy can provide space to explore masking, overwhelm, self-esteem, relationships, identity, burnout, sensory experiences and the impact of continually adapting yourself to fit in.

You don't need to justify your experience or prove that things are “bad enough” to seek support.

My approach

Person-centred

Relational

Trauma-aware

Body-aware

Compassionate

Collaborative

Non-judgemental

I don't believe therapy is about fixing you. It is about creating enough safety and space to understand yourself more fully, recognise what you need, and explore what might help you move forward.

Fees

£50 per 50-minute session.

I offer in-person counselling in Bridgend and telephone or online sessions.

If you’re unsure whether counselling with me might be a good fit, you’re welcome to get in touch and we can explore this together.

About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes you can look like you’re coping on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected or exhausted underneath.

You may be someone who thinks deeply, feels things intensely, struggles to switch off, or has spent years adapting yourself to what other people need. Perhaps you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, low self-esteem, relationships, a life transition, or the effects of experiences that have left you feeling unsettled in yourself.

You don’t have to arrive at therapy with everything figured out.

I’m Keziah, a qualified person-centred counsellor, yoga practitioner and equine-informed therapist. I offer a calm, compassionate space for adults and young people to slow down, make sense of what they’re experiencing, and develop a stronger sense of connection with themselves.

My approach is relational and person-centred. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model, I work collaboratively with you, paying attention to your individual experiences, relationships, emotions and needs.

I’m particularly interested in working with people who may feel overwhelmed by life, disconnected from themselves, or who have spent a long time trying to manage, achieve or hold everything together.

My work is informed by a trauma-aware and body-based perspective. With your consent, we may gently explore the relationship between your thoughts, emotions and physical experience — for example, noticing tension, overwhelm or patterns in your nervous system and developing ways of feeling more grounded and safe.

There is no pressure to do this. Talking, reflecting and being heard may be exactly what you need.

Clients often describe me as calm, thoughtful, warm and attuned. I aim to create a therapeutic relationship where you don't have to perform, explain everything perfectly or have the “right” words.

If you’re looking for somewhere to pause, understand yourself more deeply and begin to feel more at home in yourself, I’d be happy to hear from you.

Practice description

My counselling practice offers a calm, welcoming space where you can explore what matters to you at your own pace. I work in a relational, person-centred experiential way, placing emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and your lived experience. You are met with empathy, care, and deep respect, without pressure or judgement.

I work with young people an adults and offer sessions both in person in the Bridgend area and online. Sessions are 50 minutes and usually held weekly, though I offer some flexibility depending on your needs. I support a wide range of issues, including anxiety, low self-worth, grief, overwhelm, identity, relational difficulties, life transitions, and trauma.

My approach is trauma-informed and body-aware. I am sensitive to how past experiences can show up in the body as tension, withdrawal, or disconnection. Where helpful and always with your consent, we may gently explore this through grounding practices, mindful noticing, breath awareness, or creating a greater sense of safety and presence. I sometimes integrate elements from my background in yoga therapy to support nervous system regulation and reconnection.

Alongside my counselling training, I bring experience from a degree in Youth Work and over five years working in equine-assisted therapy and alternative education. I have supported individuals through social services and within settings focused on emotional and behavioural needs, and I am the founder of Liberty Horses CIC. This trauma-informed, relational work continues to shape how I practise—particularly in my attention to safety, boundaries, and non-verbal communication.

You don’t need to have all the words or a clear goal to start therapy. What matters is your willingness to show up for yourself. I aim to create a steady, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and safe enough to be real—however that looks for you.

My first session

Our first full session will last 50 minutes and is charged at my standard rate. In this session, we’ll gently explore what’s bringing you to therapy, what support might look like for you, and whether you’d like to work short-term or longer-term. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—you’re welcome just as you are.

I take a person-centred approach, so I won’t ask you to complete lengthy assessments. Instead, I’ll be listening closely to what feels important to you, and together we’ll shape the focus of our work. If you’re unsure, that’s completely okay—therapy often begins with simply noticing what’s present.

If you’re interested in a more body-aware or integrative approach, such as incorporating grounding, breathwork or mindful movement, we can discuss this together to see what feels appropriate and supportive.

I’ll also explain how confidentiality works, how I manage session times, cancellations, and practical details such as payment and availability.

My aim is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and empowered to begin your therapeutic journey at a pace that feels right for you.

What sessions are like

There isn’t a set formula for therapy with me.

Some sessions may involve talking through something that has happened, exploring relationships or understanding longstanding patterns. At other times, we might slow things down and pay attention to what is happening emotionally or physically in the moment.

Where appropriate, I may introduce gentle grounding, breathing or body-awareness practices. These are always optional, collaborative and adapted to you.

We will regularly review how therapy is feeling and what you need from our work together.

My aim is to offer a consistent space where you can be honest, curious and understood without judgement.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer experiential training for counsellors, psychotherapists, and trainees who wish to develop greater somatic awareness, embodied presence, and trauma-informed ways of working. My work supports therapists to integrate body-based awareness into their therapeutic practice in an ethical, grounded, and accessible way.

My training draws on Person-Centred Therapy, trauma-informed practice, somatic awareness, and embodied movement (including therapeutic yoga and mindful movement). I focus particularly on nervous system regulation, working with bodily signals in therapy, practitioner self-care, and developing therapeutic presence.

During this session, we will:

• Talk through your goals, expectations, and any relevant background

• Explore how embodied and somatic approaches might support your therapeutic or professional development needs

• Discuss practical arrangements such as session frequency, confidentiality, boundaries, and ethical practice

• Allow time for questions and reflection

Prior to the first session, you will be asked to complete a short intake form and provide consent to work together. This helps me to understand your needs and ensure that my work is appropriate and safe for you.

The first session is the same length as my standard sessions. There is no obligation to continue beyond this session, and you are welcome to take time to decide whether you would like to proceed with further sessions or join a future group or training.
