Practice description

Integrative-relational counselling draws on a range of therapeutic models, to suit your needs. I work with individual adults over the age of 18 and consider your age, body, culture, gender, mind, neurotype, race, sexuality and spirituality.

I believe real change happens when we feel safe and my approach supports and encourages you to understand your experiences and build the confidence and resilience needed to navigate life's challenges.

I am experienced in supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, grief, bereavement and loss, stress, life transitions or changes, relationship or family problems, overwhelm and stress. Long-term health conditions, caring responsibilities, loneliness and low self-esteem.

I also support neurodivergent adults (diagnosed, self-identifying and exploring) and the parents/carers of neurodivergent children. My experience includes understanding ASD, PDA, ADHD, Dispraxia, Dyslexia and co-existing conditions.

Through my work with carers (paid and unpaid), I recognise the challenges and deep impact this role can have on you. If you are caring for someone and feeling overwhelmed, remember that it's ok ask for help. Together, we can explore your caring role and overall well-being.

My first session

Starting counselling can feel daunting, it is not uncommon to feel a little unsure and to support you with this I offer a free introductory call.

After this I work in person at a private office in KT19.  Sessions are typically weekly and last for 50 minutes and it is my priority to provide a warm, and welcoming space so that you can begin to feel at ease.

Your initial counselling session is an opportunity for the both of us to get to know each other. I will share more about how I work and you will have an opportunity to share a little about yourself and what has brought you to counselling at your own pace, there is no pressure to share more than you are comfortable with.

I welcome you to ask questions and together we will confirm if it feels like a good fit for the both of us to work together.

If you are interested in working together or hearing more please get in touch to arrange an introductory telephone call.
