About me and my therapy practice
I understand that reaching out for counselling isn’t always easy. You might be feeling overwhelmed, struggling to make sense of your emotions, or simply feeling that something isn’t quite right. Whatever has brought you here, I believe you deserve a space where you can be yourself, feel heard and understood, without judgement or expectations.
My approach is warm, genuine and compassionate. I don’t believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, and I recognise that everyone’s experiences and needs are different. I work collaboratively with you, at your own pace, creating a space where you can explore whatever feels important to you.
As a Person-Centred Experiential Counsellor, I believe that our emotions can tell us something important about ourselves, our needs and how we experience the world. Sometimes, we learn to push difficult feelings aside, question ourselves or disconnect from what we truly need. Together, we can gently explore these experiences, helping you make sense of your emotions, understand yourself more deeply and discover new ways of relating to yourself and others.
I won’t tell you how you should feel or what decisions you should make. Instead, I’ll be alongside you, offering empathy, curiosity and understanding, while also helping you explore feelings or patterns that might be difficult to recognise on your own.
My work is grounded in person-centred and experiential therapy, and informed by my training in integrative humanistic counselling and CBT. I aim to be flexible and responsive to your individual needs.
Above all, I believe that meaningful change can happen when we feel truly heard, accepted and understood. My hope is that our work together will help you feel more connected to yourself, develop greater self-compassion and find a way forward that feels right for you.
Practice description
I offer individual counselling for adults, both face-to-face from my private practice in Sheffield and online, in English and Greek. I provide both short-term and open-ended therapy, depending on your needs, circumstances and what you hope to gain from counselling.
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if it’s your first time or you’re unsure what to expect. My aim is to offer a welcoming, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel comfortable exploring whatever has brought you to therapy.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what has brought you to counselling, what you might be hoping for and any questions or concerns you may have. There’s no pressure to share more than you feel ready to, and we’ll take things at a pace that feels right for you.
As our work develops, sessions will be guided by what feels most important to you. You might want to explore current difficulties, make sense of past experiences, understand patterns in your relationships or connect more deeply with your emotions and needs. There is no set agenda or expectation of what you should bring to each session.
Some people come to therapy with a particular difficulty they’d like to work through, while others are looking for a longer-term space to explore themselves and their experiences. We can discuss what might work best for you and review this together as therapy progresses.
I believe that finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is important. I welcome questions and feedback throughout our work together, and I want you to feel that therapy is a space where your voice, experiences and choices are respected.
Whether we meet in person or online, my hope is that you feel supported, understood and able to explore what matters to you.
My first session
I offer a free introductory call, giving us an opportunity to briefly discuss what has brought you to counselling, answer any questions you may have and explore how I might be able to support you.
Following this, I offer your first counselling session at half the usual fee. This gives us the chance to get to know each other, explore your needs in more depth and see whether we feel we’re a good fit to work together.
I believe that finding a therapist you feel comfortable and connected with is an important part of the therapeutic process, so there is no obligation to continue after this session.
