About me and my therapy practice

Life has a way of throwing curveballs, sometimes small, sometimes the kind that knock the wind out of you. You might “just get on with it” for a while, but eventually it can feel too heavy to carry alone. That’s where therapy can help.

I’m Bianca, a qualified psychotherapist working with adults, young people, and children. Over the past five years, I’ve worked across charities, education, and private practice. Many of my clients come to me with anxiety, depression, trauma, or navigating a pre- or post-neurodiversity diagnosis (ADHD and autism). These experiences often overlap and can ripple into self-esteem, identity, relationships, and the ability to manage change sometimes leaving you feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

My approach is integrative, which means I draw on a combination of therapies to best support you. But at the heart of my work, I aim to be real, collaborative, and human. I bring compassion, curiosity, and sometimes humour into the room as we work together to untangle patterns, build strategies, and make sense of your experiences.

Whether you’re managing anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, other neurodiverse experiences, or working through trauma, low self-esteem, or just navigating life transitions, therapy offers to explore challenges, build strategies, and feel more grounded.

I offer an initial 15-minute consultation online or by phone. I’m based in South Manchester, where I offer in-person sessions, as well as online therapy which can make it a little easier to slot into life.

Practice description

I work from a neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed approach that centers on understanding how your brain actually works rather than trying to make it work differently. While I specialise in ADHD, neurodivergent presentations, and the patterns that develop when we've spent years trying to fit into spaces that weren't designed for us, I work with clients across a broad range of presentations and life challenges.

My particular interest and expertise is in helping clients understand and work with their nervous systems rather than against them. This means we focus less on behavior modification and more on regulation, safety, and finding approaches that align with how you actually process the world. Whether you're navigating late diagnosis, unmasking after years of accommodation, working through anxiety or low mood, exploring relationship patterns, or processing difficult experiences, my aim is to help you develop a more compassionate and functional relationship with yourself.

My style is warm and direct. I value authenticity, we are both humans first. I work collaboratively, which means you're the expert on your experience and I bring understanding of how brains, nervous systems, and patterns work. Sessions are a space where you can be yourself without performing or masking.

I offer both short-term focused work and longer-term exploratory therapy, depending on what you're looking for. Sessions are typically weekly, though we can adjust frequency based on your needs and what works for you.

My first session

The first session is about getting to know each other and seeing if we're a good fit. There's no assessment form to complete beforehand - we'll just talk.

I'll invite you to share what's brought you to therapy right now and what you're hoping for from our work together. I'm interested in understanding not just what's challenging you, but also what you've already tried and what your experience of yourself has been. If you have a diagnosis or suspect you might be neurodivergent, we can talk about how that shows up for you and what support you're looking for around that.

I'll also share a bit about how I work and what you can expect from sessions with me. I'm happy to answer questions about my approach, my training, or anything else that would help you decide if working together feels right.

The first session follows my standard fee structure. If after meeting we both feel it's a good match, we'll arrange ongoing sessions and talk about practical details like session frequency and how we'll work together.

I know reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you've struggled to find therapists who understand your experiences. My aim is for the first session to feel like a genuine conversation where you can get a sense of whether this feels like a space where you can be yourself.
