About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified, BACP-registered Integrative Counsellor & Trainee Clinical Hypnotherapist with a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Counselling. My practice is rooted in a deep curiosity about the human condition - exploring why we feel the way we do and how we can choose to live more authentically.

My practice is founded on principles of radical acceptance and affirmation. As a specialist in LGBTQ+, Trans, and Non-Binary mental health (trained by Gendered Intelligence), I offer a supportive environment where identity can be openly explored without needing explanation. I also have a dedicated focus on Men’s Mental Health, challenging traditional stereotypes to promote genuine emotional resilience and self-awareness.

Outside my private practice, I also work part-time as a counsellor for an LGBTQIA+ charity, and one day a week as a hairdresser/barber.

Practice description

Practice Description

Available either online or in person in Dalston, my approach is truly integrative, combining the "deep work" of the past with a focus on your future. I utilise three main pillars, which include both short-term, solution-oriented strategies and long-term exploratory methods, to facilitate meaningful change.

  • Existential & Psychodynamic: We examine core life concepts like freedom, responsibility, and the search for meaning. By exploring early patterns and current transitions, we pinpoint the roots of anxiety or feelings of being "stuck."
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): I believe therapy shouldn’t be endless talking without results. SFBT helps identify your strengths and develop a clear "blueprint" for the life you desire.
  • Clinical Hypnotherapy: For clients aiming to break habits, overcome phobias, or reduce chronic stress, I incorporate clinical hypnotherapy. This technique calms the nervous system and aligns your subconscious goals with your conscious actions.

Whether facing a major life change, battling depression, or managing neurodivergent burnout, my goal is to help you shift from merely "surviving" to living intentionally.

My first session

I know that beginning therapy can feel like a big, intimidating step, especially if you’ve previously felt misunderstood in clinical settings.

My initial session is meant to be a relaxed, conversational "vibe check” to help you determine if we are a good match.

We start with a free 15-30-minute online consultation, allowing you to ask questions and see whether my straightforward, approachable style fits your expectations.

If we decide to proceed, our first full session will focus on your immediate concerns and long-term goals.

Practice description

My approach is truly integrative, blending the "deep work" of the past with a focus on your future. I combine three primary pillars, including both short-term, solution-focused strategies and long-term exploratory processes, to help you make change effectively.

1. Existential & Psychodynamic: We look at the "givens" of life - freedom, responsibility, and the search for meaning. By exploring your early patterns and current life transitions, we identify the roots of your anxiety or feeling of being "stuck."

2. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): I don’t believe therapy should be an endless cycle of talking without change. I use SFBT to help you identify your strengths and create a concrete "blueprint" for the life you want to lead.

3. Clinical Hypnotherapy: For clients looking to break habits, manage phobias, or reduce chronic stress, I integrate clinical hypnotherapy. This helps calm the nervous system and align your subconscious goals with your conscious actions.

Whether you are navigating a major life transition, dealing with the weight of depression, or managing neurodivergent burnout, my goal is to help you move from a state of "surviving" to one of intentional living.

I am currently offering a limited number of Reduced-Rate Clinical Hypnotherapy sessions while I complete the advanced certification of my qualification.

My first session

I understand that starting therapy can feel like a daunting "big step," especially if you’ve felt misunderstood in clinical settings in the past. My first session is designed to be a low-pressure, conversational "vibe check” to help you decide whether we would be a good fit.

We start with a free 15-30 minute online initial consultation. This is a chance for you to ask questions and see whether my "down-to-earth" style resonates with you. If we decide to work together, our first full session will focus on your immediate needs and long-term hopes. There is no "right" way to be in the room.

You are welcome exactly as you are.
