About me and my therapy practice

Is life starting to feel like an exhausting performance?

Many people come to therapy looking outwardly capable. They hold it together at work or in social circles while privately struggling with burnout or perfectionism. Sometimes there is a lingering sense that life no longer feels aligned. You might feel "stuck," overwhelmed by anxiety, or disconnected from the person you used to be.

I believe therapy should feel human, collaborative, and practical, not distant or overly clinical. My goal is to support you in reconnecting with your sense of self and moving beyond the pressure to perform.

Because of this, my work focuses on identity and authenticity. I am interested in how we lose touch with ourselves, our wants and needs and how therapy can be a space for deeper self-understanding. Whether you are navigating a major life transition, dealing with the weight of expectations, or seeking to move forward with greater clarity, I offer a non-judgmental environment for reflection and resilience building.

I am a BACP-registered Integrative Counsellor and Trainee Solution-Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist with a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Counselling. I work from the belief that the answers you're seeking are already within you. My role is to help you uncover them, make sense of the patterns, stories, and hidden parts of yourself that shape how you live, and find more effective ways forward.

You do not need to have all the answers before we begin... You are welcome exactly as you are.

Practice description

A Depth-Oriented & Solution-Focused Approach

My practice is integrative, meaning I draw on several therapeutic approaches to suit your specific needs in a bespoke way. I combine Psychodynamic insight, which explores how your past and early relationships shape your present, with Existential and Humanistic perspectives. These approaches allow us to look at the deeper "why" of your life: exploring meaning, purpose, and the unconscious patterns that might be holding you back.

Solution-Focused Clinical Hypnotherapy: Alongside traditional talk therapy, I integrate evidence-based hypnotherapy to support clients experiencing challenges with anxiety, ADHD, stress, addictions, phobias, insomnia, burnout, low self-esteem, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). This approach uses solution-focused brief therapy and guided trance work to calm the nervous system by shifting unhelpful behavioural patterns that may feel difficult to change through talking alone.

LGBTQ+ Counselling & Trans-Affirming Therapy: I work extensively with LGBTQIA+ clients and those who have experienced abuse, trauma, or discrimination. I offer a safe, affirming space where you do not need to explain or defend your identity. We begin with understanding and compassion, enabling us to focus on your therapeutic goals from day one.

Men’s Mental Health: Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a barber for over ten years. This gave me direct insight into the barriers that often stop men from seeking help until they are in crisis. Whether you're dealing with grief, relationship problems, or the weight of handling issues alone, I provide a welcoming and healing space where men can confront these challenges without stigma.

My first session

I know that starting therapy can feel like a daunting step, especially if you've previously felt misunderstood or unseen in clinical settings.

We begin with a free 15–30 minute online or telephone consultation, giving you the chance to ask questions, share what's brought you to therapy, and get a sense of whether my approach feels right for you. If we decide to work together, our first full session will focus on your immediate concerns and longer-term hopes.

You don't have to arrive with everything figured out; we can take it at your own pace.

About me and my therapy practice

Is life starting to feel like an exhausting performance?

Many individuals seek therapy, appearing outwardly capable. They manage their responsibilities at work and in social settings, yet privately, they may be dealing with burnout or perfectionism. Often, there's a persistent feeling that life no longer feels in sync. You might experience feeling "trapped", overwhelmed by anxiety, or struggling to keep up with the pace of life.

I believe therapy should be a warm, collaborative, and supportive space that fosters genuine connection rather than feeling cold or overly clinical. My goal is to help you reconnect with your true self, explore your inner world, and navigate the pressures to perform so that you can find greater authenticity and balance.

As a result, my work centres on identity and purpose. I explore how we sometimes lose touch with our true selves, leading to a persistent sense of existential "angst" and anxiety in everyday reality. I see therapy as a safe space for deeper self-awareness. Whether you're going through a significant life change, managing the pressure of everyday expectations, or striving to move forward in your goals with more clarity, I provide a supportive, non-judgmental environment for reflection and resilience-building.

I am a qualified BACP-registered Integrative Counsellor and Trainee Solution-Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist with a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Counselling. A Depth-Oriented & Solution-Focused Approach

My approach is integrative, utilising multiple therapeutic methods tailored to your individual needs. I blend Psychodynamic insight, which examines how your past and early relationships influence your current experiences, with Existential and Humanistic viewpoints. These approaches help us explore the deeper "why" of your life: meaning, purpose, and the unconscious patterns that might be holding you back.

Solution-Focused Clinical Hypnotherapy: I combine evidence-based hypnotherapy with traditional talk therapy to help clients dealing with anxiety, ADHD, stress, addictions, phobias, insomnia, burnout, low self-esteem, and OCD. This method merges solution-focused brief therapy with guided hypnotic trance to soothe the nervous system and alter unhelpful behaviours that are hard to change through conversation alone.

LGBTQ+ Counselling & Trans-Affirming Therapy: I have extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients and individuals who have faced abuse, trauma, or discrimination. I provide a safe, supportive environment where you can openly express your identity without needing to justify or defend it. My approach starts with understanding and compassion, allowing us to focus on your therapeutic goals from the very beginning.
