About me and my therapy practice

Psychotherapy with me is a space for You to be you. You don't need the 'right' words to start. Therapy can help you untangle old habits and find clarity, supporting you through life’s storms with an engaged, warm presence - always at the pace that feels right for you.

How I work

I work in a way that is grounded, attuned, and down-to-earth. I don’t just sit in silence - I share my observations and reflections as we work. I welcome "getting into the weeds" of daily life to help you grapple with the issues that matter to you.

I am Humanistic Therapist which means I integrate Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis.

Psychotherapy with me might involve:

  • Exploring how past experiences influence your here and now
  • Noticing the connection between your mind and body.
  • Gently challenging patterns when it feels safe and appropriate.
  • Offering insights or practical things to try between sessions

It is important to me that you feel safe and in control of the process. There is no right or wrong way to be in our sessions; you can bring anything to the space, from your deepest concerns to the smallest daily issues. My role is to support you in accessing your own resources and finding a way forward that feels right for you.

I want you to get the most out of our time together. I see our work as a partnership and I welcome your feedback; we will check in regularly to make sure the pace and focus feels right for you.

My first session

First Session – What to Expect?

I understand that the first therapy session can sometimes feel daunting and my role is to support you from the very beginning.

The first session is an opportunity for us to explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, expectations and needs, and address any questions you may have.

We will also talk about how we might work together, including the frequency and potential length of therapy. This will be reviewed regularly as part of our ongoing work. Some people benefit most from long-term therapy, while others experience meaningful change in just a few sessions - the duration always depends on your needs and goals.

The first session is offered at a reduced fee of £50. There’s no obligation to continue afterward.

You are very welcome to get in touch if you’d like to know more, schedule a session or have a chat about how we might work together.
