About me and my therapy practice

Whether you are navigating a specific crisis or want to understand yourself better - therapy can help you untangle old habits and find clarity. Psychotherapy with me is grounded, attuned and down-to-earth.

I am a Humanistic Therapist which means I integrate Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis.

Psychotherapy with me might involve:

  • Exploring how past experiences influence your here and now
  • Noticing the connection between your mind and body.
  • Gently challenging patterns when it feels safe and appropriate.
  • Offering insights or practical things to try between sessions

It is important to me that you feel safe and in control of the process. There is no right or wrong way to be in our sessions; you can bring anything to the space, from your deepest concerns to the smallest daily issues.

My first session

First Session – What to Expect?

I understand that the first therapy session can sometimes feel daunting and my role is to support you from the very beginning.

The first session is an opportunity for us to explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, expectations and needs, and address any questions you may have.

We will also talk about how we might work together, including the frequency and potential length of therapy. This will be reviewed regularly as part of our ongoing work. Some people benefit most from long-term therapy, while others experience meaningful change in just a few sessions - the duration always depends on your needs and goals.

You are very welcome to get in touch if you’d like to know more, schedule a session or have a chat about how we might work together.

About me and my therapy practice

Psychotherapy gives you support in difficult times, provides relief from suffering and helps you find meaning and a way forward in life. Some people seek help with specific problems, such as depression, anxiety or relationship issues. For others, therapy is a space to learn about themselves and how they relate to the world and people around them.

I work from a trauma-informed perspective - we go at a pace that feels right for you, ensuring you always have a choice in how we explore your story and to help you process difficult experiences without feeling overwhelmed.

You are very welcome to get in touch if you’d like to know more or have a chat about how we might work together.
