About me and my therapy practice
If you find yourself stuck in the same patterns across your closest relationships - giving too much, struggling to say what you need, feeling anxious when someone gets close or pulls away - and you're not sure why it keeps happening, this is my area of focus.
I'm Layla, a BACP-registered psychotherapist working with adults across the UK online. I specialise in relational trauma and attachment - the patterns formed earliest in our lives that continue to shape how we feel and behave in relationships long into adulthood.
Before training as a therapist I spent many years in leadership and business operations. That background gives me a particular understanding of high-achieving, self-reliant people who are managing well on the outside while something feels persistently difficult underneath - and of the psychological weight that comes with significant life transitions, career pivots, leaving behind one identity, and building something new.
I work actively and collaboratively - reflective, direct, and willing to offer gentle challenge when it's needed. Not just a listening ear, but a genuine presence in the room. I also offer a free 20-minute introductory call before anything is committed to.
