About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Sheila, an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist dedicated to supporting adults through life’s many challenges. I understand that at times life can feel overwhelming, uncertain and painful: reaching out for support can be a big step. My aim is to offer a compassionate, confidential space where you can feel heard, valued and supported. I work with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns including general anxiety, OCD, panic attacks, health anxiety, stress and relationship difficulties.
I bring experience working with bereavement, having supported many individuals in the hospice setting. I am a Cruse-trained bereavement supporter and am involved in their online support group sessions.
I have a particular passion for supporting those experiencing baby loss, recurrent miscarriage, infertility, maternal mental health challenges, birth trauma, perimenopause and menopause. These experiences can feel deeply personal and often invisible to others, and I offer a compassionate space where you don’t have to face them alone. I have been trained by PANDAS, a charity which advocates for women and partners’ perinatal mental health and I support clients via their helpline .
I have completed specialist training in perinatal mental health which means I am well-equipped to offer the emotional support you need throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.
Practice description
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change” Carl Rogers
We will focus on what feels most important to you and work at your pace. As you begin to understand yourself more fully, you will find new ways to navigate difficult parts of your life. Over time, this can help bring you more clarity and fulfilment.
Each person is unique and I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw from a range of therapies — including attachment-based, person-centred, psychodynamic and somatic approaches — depending on what feels most helpful for you.
My first session
We will arrange our first full session together during which I may ask you some questions about yourself, your relationships and family, and you’ll have space to share what’s bringing you to therapy at this time.
In ongoing sessions, you’re welcome to bring whatever feels most important to you at the time. Together, we’ll build a trusting relationship and find a way of working that feels right for you.
Our therapy sessions are held weekly, on the same day and at the same time each week, to provide consistency and a sense of stability.

I use an integrative approach to therapy, meaning I adapt various techniques, depending on your unique situation, including humanistic, psychodynamic, breathwork and journaling, helping you to untangle and make sense of your inner world so you can live in a more resilient, empowered and fulfilling way.
I am LGBTQIA+ friendly, neurodivergent-aware and welcome clients from all communities. I work with adults aged 18 or over.
I am taking on new clients on a long-term basis or for a shorter, more goal-driven basis. We can discuss this more fully when we meet. I see clients in comfortable therapy rooms near London Bridge and online via Zoom.
