About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, grounded and supportive space for you to slow down, make sense of what is going on, and start to move forward in a way that feel right for you.
A Different kind of therapy
I am a Gestalt therapist, which means I focus on helping you to build awareness of your thoughts, feelings and pattens in the here and now. Rather than analysing or diagnosing you, I work alongside yourself more deeply and make meaningful changes.
My style is practical, creative and down to earth. I wont use jargon. I am generally interested in you and your lived experiences. My approach is supportive and gently challenging, helping you to move beyond feeling stuck and towards feeling more in control.
Nature-Based & online
Alongside online session, I offer nature-based therapy in a unique, privet outdoor settling. This space allows for a sense of calm and confidentiality, where nature becomes part of the therapeutic process. Being outdoors can support a deeper connection to yourself away from the noise of everyday life. Whether though stillness, movement or being alongside the natural world. Many people, included myself find just being in this environment allows things to unfold more naturally, creating space for reflection, grounding and a deeper connection with themself to take place.
My first session
Our first session would be an initial assessment. Usually conducted online. This is an opportunity for you to ask me any question about how I work, so you can get a feel for whether I'm a good fit for your needs. This is a relaxed space for you to share what has been going on for you, what you are hoping to gain from therapy and any previous experiences you have had.
We will take sometime to build a sense of safety and connection, after this session there is no obligation to continue- you are free to decide if working together feels right for you. I also will take the time to personally access if I have the tool needed to support you in the best possible way. This session is up to an hour long. If it feel appropriate we can also explore availability, set goals and book further session.
