About me and my therapy practice
Supporting you to explore challenges, gain insight, and move forward with confidence
I provide a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly about stress, anxiety, low mood or any difficulties that leave you feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
My role is to help you see more clearly, develop self-understanding and self-acceptance, and rediscover your capacity to navigate life’s difficulties. I bring my full attention, training and professional experience to provide a therapeutic space where healing, insight and growth can emerge.
I have trained as an integrative psychodynamic counsellor on a BACP accredited degree. This approach helps you explore both present challenges and the deeper patterns or past experiences that may be affecting you today.
In my work within an NHS-supported programme with Mind, I have supported many clients with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, PTSD and panic attacks, depression, workplace bullying or abuse, long-term stress, and bereavement.
Practice description
As an integrative psychodynamic therapist, I adapt my approach to suit your individual needs, whatever your background, culture or religion.
Together, we look at the pressures in your daily life, the feelings that are emerging, and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. This process helps you gain insight and develop confidence in your ability to navigate your daily life.
My approach is rooted in psychodynamic principles meaning we can look not only at present difficulties but also at the deeper patterns, past experiences, and unconscious processes that might be influencing how you are responding to difficulty. Psychodynamic work focuses on understanding how early relationships and unconscious patterns might be shaping your current emotions, triggers and ways of relating. Through this process, we can bring greater clarity to challenges in your work, relationships, or the deeper sense of disconnection you may feel within yourself or with others allowing for greater self-acceptance.
I offer sessions online and face to face, and I am happy to provide a free 15-minute consultation to discuss what might be the best therapeutic option for you. I understand that the most important part of therapy is a strong working relationship and that you feel comfortable that I’m the right counsellor for you.

My first session
In our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and creating a safe space for you to share your concerns. This initial meeting allows us to explore the issues that have brought you to therapy, discuss your goals, and understand what you hope to achieve through our work together.
I will explain my working methods, including my integrative psychodynamic approach, and answer any questions you may have about therapy. We will also discuss practical details such as session length, frequency, fees, and confidentiality. A clear therapeutic contract is agreed at the start, outlining what you can expect from me as your therapist, along with the practical and ethical boundaries of our work together. This helps ensure transparency and creates a safe and professional working relationship as a basis for therapeutic change.
