About me and my therapy practice

I’m an integrative, person-centred counsellor offering face-to-face sessions in the Neath and Swansea areas, including outdoor “walk-and-talk” therapy, as well as online sessions for clients across the UK.

My approach is gentle, compassionate, and non-directive, focused on creating a calm, safe, and accepting space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and supported.

Life can often feel overwhelming; balancing the demands of work, relationships, family, and everyday pressures can leave you stretched thin. When we’re busy looking after everyone else, it’s easy to lose touch with our own well-being and what truly matters to us. I believe your feelings, needs, and experiences deserve attention and care, and I’m here to help you reconnect with yourself.

Whether you’re going through a significant life change like starting a new job, becoming a parent, navigating divorce, redundancy, retirement, menopause, or adjusting to an empty nest, these shifts can stir up all kinds of emotions, confusion, grief, anxiety, or a sense of losing who you are. You don’t have to face these feelings alone. I will walk alongside you, whether literally or metaphorically, offering a steady and supportive presence as you explore your inner world at your own pace.

I also bring both personal and professional experience of neurodiversity, particularly ADHD and autism. I understand how exhausting, confusing, and isolating it can feel to live in a world that isn’t always built with neurodivergent minds in mind. Whether you’ve received a diagnosis, are considering seeking one, or feel that your brain works differently, I offer a space where you can be your authentic self without needing to mask, explain, or apologise.

Together, we’ll explore your experiences with kindness and curiosity, working at a pace that feels right for you.

Practice description

My practice supports adults facing a wide variety of challenges and transitions. Life’s changes, whether they involve career moves, new family roles, relationship endings, approaching retirement, or shifts brought on by menopause or an empty nest, can be unsettling and evoke feelings of grief, loss, and uncertainty.

I work sensitively with grief, whether it’s a recent bereavement, an older unresolved loss, or less recognised types of grief such as loss of health, identity, or relationship.

I also specialise in supporting neurodivergent clients, especially those with ADHD or autism. Whether you are experiencing overwhelm, burnout, difficulties with focus or routine, social anxiety, sensory sensitivities, or the emotional impact of feeling misunderstood, I offer a compassionate space tailored to your unique experience.

Sessions can take place indoors, outdoors, through “walk-and-talk” therapy, or online, depending on what works best for you. We’ll work together to create an environment that feels safe, comfortable, and suited to your communication style and needs.

In our work together, my focus is on supporting you in processing your emotions, gaining fresh insight, and reconnecting with your inner resources.

My first session

Finding the right counsellor can feel daunting, but it is essential to find the right fit for you and your needs.

I offer an initial 15-minute telephone call, which gives you the opportunity to speak with me and decide if I am the right counsellor for you, as the counselling relationship is a vital part of the therapeutic process.

Our first session is designed to provide you with a safe, secure, and confidential space, allowing you to start exploring what you would like to achieve through counselling.
