Availability

I currently have availability for new clients in person, by phone and online, working with anyone from the age of 16.

I work from a lovely room in the centre of Canterburyon Tuesdays and Wednesdays. On Thursdays I am in Rochester, and on Fridays I am in Hythe*. I also offer online and phone sessions from Tuesday to Friday.

If you would like a free phone or Zoom introductory session, where we can find out if you think we would be a good fit and explore how therapy might help you, I would love to hear from you.

* Please note that these therapy rooms are only accessible via stairs. I offer phone therapy for anyone who would not be able to access the rooms.

About me and my therapy practice

You might be feeling stuck, unheard and unseen, or overwhelmed by your thoughts spiralling out of control. You may be holding a lot inside, unsure where to turn, or simply be tired of pretending everything is fine when inside you know that it is not.

As a therapist, I offer a non-judgemental, warm, and welcoming space where you can be yourself, just as you are. I aim to really listen to you and understand your world and your struggles the best I can.

When you feel truly understood and accepted, something begins to shift. Clients often describe discovering a deeper sense of self-acceptance and a renewed sense of possibility and hope about their future. Together we can explore what it means to live more authentically by being true to yourself.

I've seen many times that life-changing, often unexpected, things can come about when the time and therapist are right, and the relationship feels right. My role is to hold the process and yours is to step in when you're ready.

Practice description

I am a person-centred therapeutic counsellor. This means that I am really interested in understanding the world the way you experience it, and hearing about how you feel and think about things. I will stay alongside you as you bring whatever feels right  to therapy, and I will be by your side championing you and helping you to access your own self-compassion, awareness and acceptance.

My rates for face to face clients are £65 and for online or phone clients £50. Concessions are available - please ask for more details if you would be interested in knowing more.

My first session

I offer a free initial conversation (of around 20/30 minutes) so you can get a feel for what working together might be like, with absolutely no pressure to continue if you don't feel like I am the right counsellor for you. This can be on the phone or on Zoom.

In the therapy sessions, which are 50 minutes long, I won't ask any intrusive questions because I will wait for you to tell me what you want to bring to therapy. You can go at a pace that feels right for you and explore what you want to look at in your own time, once you feel the trust between us has built and you feel safe to explore feelings, thoughts or experiences that might be really hard to talk about.
