About me and my therapy practice
Reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, especially if you’ve spent a long time feeling anxious, doubting yourself, or trying to work out who you are and where you fit. You might know something isn’t quite right, but struggle to put it into words. That’s ok, we can start there. I specialise in supporting women and young people with anxiety, shame, low self-esteem, and identity-related difficulties. I also work more broadly with adults experiencing emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, or feeling stuck in life.
I’m an integrative, trauma-informed counsellor with a person-centred core offering a warm, supportive, and down-to-earth space where you can talk openly and be met without judgment. I work both online and in person from a confidential and private space in Kingston-Upon-Thames (KT2 6LG)
How I Work
Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £65. Payment is required 48hours in advance of each session to secure the booking. Cancellations received with more than 48 hours’ notice will not be charged.

Practice description
My approach is collaborative and gentle. I believe that therapy works best when you feel safe, heard and respected, not analysed or rushed. Person Centred therapy is at the core of my work, which means you are the expert on your life. I’m not here to fix you or tell you what to do, I’m here to support you and help you figure out what feels right for you.
Alongside person-centred therapy, I also draw on;
• Psychodynamic Therapy to explore patterns and early life experiences
• TA, Parts Work and Inner Child Healing to understand different parts of you with compassion
• Trauma-informed Practices supported by additional specialist training I have undertaken
I work at a pace that feels right for you, paying attention to both what’s happening now and where these feelings may come from.
Who I Work With
I specialise in supporting people who may struggle with;
• Anxiety and constant overthinking
• Shame and feelings of intense guilt
• Feeling ‘stuck’ in life
• Low self-esteem or feelings of ‘not being good enough’
• Identity questions or feeling unsure of who you are
• Neurodiversity and the challenges of navigating a world that doesn’t always feel accommodating
• Emotional overwhelm or feeling disconnected from yourself
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, sensitive, and capable, yet hard on themselves. Therapy can offer you a space to slow down, feel understood, and begin relating to yourself with more kindness.
Why Choose Me?
There are many counsellors listed here, and choosing one can feel overwhelming. You might feel comfortable working with me if;
• You’re looking for someone genuine, grounded, and easy to talk to
• You want therapy that feels human rather than clinical
• You value a therapist who works gently with trauma and emotional safety
• You want space to explore things even if they feel messy, confusing, or unfinished
My first session
The first session is charged at the usual rate and offers us a chance to begin getting to know one another. We will explore what has bought you to therapy at this time and whether working together feels like the right fit for you. I will also be able to let you know whether my practice and experience are suited to what you are looking for.
During the initial session, I will ask some questions to help me understand more about you, your circumstances, and any potential risks to your wellbeing. This is a routine part of therapy and helps me to ensure that the work we do together is as safe, supportive, and relevant as possible. While I may guide parts of the session, I will also be led by you and by what feels most important for you to bring.
Many people find the first session can feel a little daunting, so be reassured that we will take things at a pace that feels manageable for you.
If we agree to work together and you feel that I am the right therapist for you, I will email you a copy of my counselling agreement and take some contact details. Both of these will need to be signed and returned before your next session. You are welcome to ask questions about this at any time.
Research and clinical experience suggest that, after the initial session, committing to around 12 sessions of therapy is often the most helpful, as it allows time to build a therapeutic relationship and begin creating meaningful change. That said, counselling is not a fixed commitment, therapy can be ended at any point, and sessions can continue for as long as you find them helpful and meaningful in your life.
Taking the First Step
You don’t need a clear goal or a perfect explanation of what’s wrong before starting counselling. Booking an initial session is simply a chance to see how it feels to talk together and whether I feel like the right fit for you. If you’re thinking about reaching out, you’re very welcome to get in touch, I’ll respond with care.
