The challenges of life can feel overwhelming and having the space to speak about things with someone who has no other place in your day-to-day life can be very helpful.
People come to counselling for many different reasons. It may be a specific situation which is causing you distress or a more general sense of dissatisfaction.
I currently have availability for face to face appointments at my Clapham South office on Fridays from 09:00 until 13:00.
I also have availability for evening online appointments during the week between 18:00 until 21:00.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP-registered psychotherapist (MBACP) offering psychodynamic counselling and psychotherapy for adults in Wimbledon and across South West London, as well as online.
Clients seek therapy for a range of reasons, including anxiety, low mood, burnout, relationship difficulties and life transitions. Some attend following a specific event such as bereavement or redundancy, while others are looking to understand longer-standing emotional patterns that affect their relationships and sense of self.
My work is grounded in psychodynamic theory and practice. This approach explores both current difficulties and the underlying emotional and relational patterns that may contribute to them. The aim is to support sustained psychological understanding and meaningful change.
Practice description
Sessions are held weekly at the same time each week to provide structure and continuity. As an independent practitioner, I offer consistent, ongoing work within a confidential and professionally supervised framework.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is reflective and collaborative. It involves exploring thoughts, feelings and relational patterns over time in order to develop greater awareness and psychological flexibility.
My first session
Prior to arranging an initial appointment, I offer a brief exploratory conversation. This provides an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to therapy and to consider whether this way of working feels appropriate for both of us.
The first session itself is a more detailed assessment. It allows space to explore your current difficulties within the broader context of your background, relationships and life circumstances. This helps to establish a clearer understanding of what may be contributing to your concerns and how the work might proceed.
No prior experience of therapy is required.
