Wherever possible, ongoing therapy takes place at the same time each week to provide consistency and continuity.

Online appointments are also available where appropriate, although I generally recommend beginning our work together with an initial in-person meeting.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP-registered psychodynamic psychotherapist (MBACP) working with adults who may appear outwardly coping but privately feel unsettled. I practise primarily from Wimbledon, with additional appointments available in Balham and Clapham, as well as online where appropriate.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes this follows a specific event such as bereavement, redundancy or relationship difficulties. At other times there is no single event, but a growing sense that familiar ways of coping are no longer enough, despite life appearing to function well on the surface.

My work is grounded in psychodynamic theory and practice. This approach explores both current difficulties and the underlying emotional and relational patterns that may contribute to them. The aim is to support sustained psychological understanding and meaningful change.

Practice description

Sessions are held weekly at the same time each week to provide structure and continuity. As an independent practitioner, I offer consistent, ongoing work within a confidential and professionally supervised framework.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is reflective and collaborative. It involves exploring thoughts, feelings and relational patterns over time in order to develop greater awareness and psychological flexibility.

My first session

Prior to arranging an initial appointment, I offer a brief exploratory conversation. This provides an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to therapy and to consider whether this way of working feels appropriate for both of us.

Our first meeting provides an opportunity to develop a fuller understanding of what has brought you to therapy within the wider context of your relationships, life experiences and current circumstances. It also allows us to consider together whether this way of working feels appropriate for both of us before making any decisions about ongoing therapy.

No prior experience of therapy is required.
