About me and my therapy practice

You may be someone who appears to cope well but feels anxious, exhausted, or disconnected inside. You might carry a constant sense of pressure, overthink everything, or feel responsible for holding things together even when it’s costing you. Many people I work with say they don’t feel “ill”, just worn down, tense, or quietly lost.

Therapy with me is a place to pause. You don’t need to know where to start or have the right words. We work gently to understand what you’re carrying and why it feels so heavy. Not to fix you, but to help things make sense.

My approach is relational, psychoanalytic, and trauma-informed. We explore how past experiences and emotional patterns continue to shape your inner world, often long after they were needed for survival. Sessions move at your pace, held with warmth, honesty, and care, within the BACP ethical framework.

Practice description

Welcome. My practice is a calm, confidential space where you can bring what feels messy, overwhelming, or hard to explain. It’s for those moments when anxiety, exhaustion, grief, or self-doubt take over and something needs to change.

I work with people who are used to being strong for others, professionals, carers, parents, and high-achieving women who live under constant self-pressure. Many arrive saying, “I don’t even know where to begin.” That’s okay. Therapy begins exactly where you are.

Together, we slow things down. We look not only at what’s happening now, but also at the deeper emotional patterns and early experiences that quietly shape how you relate to yourself and others. This work isn’t rushed. Some sessions bring clarity or relief, others feel more tender. Both are part of healing.

I offer online therapy and face-to-face sessions in Basingstoke, in line with BACP ethical standards, privacy, and confidentiality.

My first session

Starting therapy can feel uncertain. I aim to make the first step feel safe and clear.

I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation, online or in person. This is a chance for you to talk about what’s been going on, ask questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels right. There’s no pressure to commit.

If we continue, early sessions focus on understanding your story at a pace that feels manageable. You don’t need to share everything at once. Trust and safety come first.

Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually weekly, held online or in Basingstoke. Fees, boundaries, and practical details are discussed openly from the start.
