About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome. I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist and counsellor, working with adults and couples in Guernsey, in-person and online.

I work from the belief that how you feel makes sense in the context of your life, relationships and experiences. My role is to help you explore and understand your inner experience with empathy, respect and confidentiality.

Therapy is not a one size fits all process, and no single model can fully capture the complexity of human experience. As an integrative therapist, I draw upon different therapeutic approaches and theories to tailor sessions to your individual needs. By working in this way, therapy can respond to all aspects of your experience, rather than focusing narrowly on symptoms or diagnoses.

My work is shaped by both professional training and lived experience. I understand how challenging it can be when emotional wellbeing, health, and life circumstances feel challenged at once, and how powerful therapy can be when you are met with an empathetic, attuned presence.

I hold the following qualifications and professional memberships:

  • Level 6 Diploma (Distinction) in Transpersonal Psychology
  • Level 5 Diploma in Integrative & Humanistic Psychotherapy and Counselling
  • Level 5 Diploma in Relational (Couples) Counselling
  • Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (NCPS)
  • Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
  • Member of The British Transpersonal Association (BTPA)

Practice description

I work with adults and couples, in-person and online, across a range of emotional, relational, and life-based difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, grief, relationship challenges and periods of transition.

You can expect a safe, respectful and confidential space where you are encouraged to speak freely and reflect openly. We work at a pace that feels manageable for you.

My aim is to support you in developing greater understanding of yourself and your experiences, increasing emotional capacity and clarity over time, and finding ways to move forward that feel authentic and sustainable.

My first session

Beginning psychotherapy can feel like a significant step. For this reason, I offer a free 15-minute phone or video call so you can see whether working with me feels like a good fit. We can talk through your hopes or concerns, and I can answer any questions you may have. There is no obligation to begin therapy with me following this call.

Therapy can begin with what feels most present for you. You do not need to know exactly what you want to talk about or have clear goals from the outset. It is not about quick fixes or pushing change before you feel ready.

Sessions are collaborative and client led. You can explore what feels difficult or unclear at your own pace, in a safe, respectful and confidential space. I work openly and transparently, supporting you to feel informed, involved, and able to shape our work together.

Together, we create a space to explore your inner world and develop greater self-understanding over time.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome. I'm a qualified and experienced integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, currently completing my Level 6 Diploma in Counselling Supervision.

My therapeutic background includes a Level 5 Diploma in Integrative and Humanistic Psychotherapy, a Level 5 Diploma in Relational (Couples) Counselling, and a Level 6 Diploma in Transpersonal Psychology.

I work with individuals and couples, and draw upon a range of therapeutic approaches, including person-centred, psychodynamic, relational, existential and transpersonal perspectives.

I believe that no single therapeutic model can fully capture the complexity of human experience, and this understanding also informs my approach to supervision.

I see supervision as a collaborative relationship, offering space to explore your client work, reflect on the therapeutic relationship and develop a deeper understanding of yourself as a practitioner.

My aim is to provide a warm, supportive and thoughtful environment where you feel able to bring your uncertainties, challenges and mistakes, as well as your successes.

I am an Accredited Member of the NCPS and a Registered Member of the BACP.

Practice description

My approach to supervision is warm, collaborative and curious. I aim to create a relationship in which you feel supported, respected and able to reflect openly on your work, without fear of judgement.

Supervision provides an opportunity to think more deeply about your clients, the therapeutic relationship and your own responses within it. We might explore what is happening between you and a client, consider different theoretical perspectives, or reflect on the personal and professional experiences that influence your practice.

Alongside this reflective exploration, we will attend to ethical considerations, safeguarding, professional boundaries and good practice.

I believe supervision should offer both support and appropriate challenge, helping you develop confidence, self-awareness and autonomy as a practitioner.

I welcome qualified counsellors and psychotherapists, as well as trainee counsellors in their second year of a Level 4 Diploma who are already working with clients. I am able to supervise practitioners working therapeutically with adult individuals or couples.

Supervision is available face-to-face in Guernsey or online across the UK.

My first session

I offer a free 15-minute introductory phone or video call so that we can get to know each other a little and explore whether working together feels like a good fit.

This is an opportunity for you to tell me about your practice, your experience of supervision and what you might be looking for in a supervisory relationship. I can also explain my approach, answer any questions and discuss the practical arrangements.

If we decide to work together, our first full session will include time to explore your professional background, current client work, learning needs and expectations of supervision. We will also discuss our supervision agreement, including confidentiality, ethical responsibilities and how we will work together.

I believe that a good supervisory relationship is built on trust, openness and mutual respect, and that establishing these foundations from the beginning is important.
