About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Fiona (Fi), and I offer online therapy for adults (18+) via Zoom, FaceTime, or telephone.
Reaching out for support can feel difficult, but it can also be the beginning of something important. Many of the people I work with feel weighed down by anxiety, the impact of trauma, or a deep sense of low self-worth. You might feel stuck, overwhelmed, or simply tired of trying to cope on your own.
I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can come just as you are. You don’t need to have the right words or all the answers. Feeling safe and supported is at the heart of my work, especially if you’ve experienced trauma, and we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I have extensive experience supporting individuals affected by addiction, trauma, and abuse, including childhood trauma. Alongside my private practice, I work as a specialist trauma therapist within a drug and alcohol rehabilitation service. I also have experience supporting survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. I work with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and relationship challenges.
My approach is relational and trauma-informed. I focus on building a genuine connection with you, while helping you understand how your experiences may be shaping the way you feel and respond. Together, we can gently make sense of what’s been happening for you and begin to find new ways forward.
I work relationally, meaning I see therapy as a collaborative process. I’m not here as an expert on your life, but as someone who will walk alongside you with warmth, empathy, honesty, and sometimes humour. Together, we can begin to make sense of what’s been holding you back, helping you reconnect with your inner resilience, your voice, and your sense of self.
I deeply respect the individuality of each person I work with. I welcome and value diversity and all aspects of your identity.
If this feels right for you, I’d be honoured to support you.
Practice description
I am a Level 6 qualified therapist, holding a BA (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling.
I have a broad range of experience working within addiction recovery services and organisations supporting survivors of sexual and domestic abuse. My work has included both short-term and long-term therapy, supporting individuals with a variety of concerns such as trauma (including childhood trauma), anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviours, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties.
I have a particular interest in working with adults who carry the lasting impact of early life experiences. These early wounds can shape deeply held beliefs about ourselves and others, often influencing how we relate, cope, and navigate the world. I aim to support clients in gently exploring and understanding these patterns, creating space for new, more compassionate ways of relating to themselves.
My first session
Our first session is an initial consultation, offered at a reduced fee of £40. It’s an opportunity for us to get a feel for one another and explore whether working together feels like the right fit for you.
The session takes place online via Zoom and lasts up to 50 minutes. During this time, I may ask a few questions, and you’re welcome to share as much or as little of your story as feels comfortable. There will also be space for you to ask any questions you may have about the process.
I will take some basic details, which are stored securely in line with GDPR. Towards the end of the session, we can reflect on how it felt and consider next steps if you decide you’d like to continue. There is no pressure or obligation, this is simply a gentle starting point.
I look forward to meeting you.
