About me and my therapy practice
If you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, anxious, or facing a specific challenge and struggling to make sense of things or just need someone to talk to. I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can be heard, supported, and understood.
As an integrative psychotherapist, I understand that each person’s therapeutic journey is unique. I listen attentively and work collaboratively with you to shape a therapeutic process that aligns with your needs and goals.
This may involve enhancing your understanding of emotional responses, exploring the influence of past experiences on present relationships, in order to support meaningful change.
Having grown up in a multicultural family and lived in different countries I’m especially interested in how personal and collective identities are formed. In the context of generational migration and I’m passionate about fostering autonomy, resilience, and resourcefulness.
I also have over 30 years experience in the area of addiction and currently work two days a week in a drug and alcohol rehab unit serving the criminal justice system. This includes supporting clients and their loved ones throughout their recovery from substance abuse.
Sessions take place weekly and last for 50 minutes, held at the same time each week. Therapy is usually open-ended, giving us the space to work at your pace, though shorter-term work can also be discussed — we can talk about this during an initial phone call.
I offer a free 15-minute call so you can ask any questions and get a feel for whether we might work well together. Reaching out can feel daunting and I will do my best to make that first step as comfortable as possible.
