Availability

I offer online sessions for those who would like to come to sessions from the comfort of their own home.

I work Monday-Friday and offer daytime and early evening sessions, depending on availability.

The first step is to have an introductory phone call to discuss what you are looking for, and this gives you an opportunity to determine if I am the right therapist for you.

I offer an initial, free, 30-minute call so please get in contact to check current availability and arrange this conversation.

About me and my therapy practice

Whatever brings you to counselling, talking about it can feel daunting. Having a point in the week to take time for yourself can provide a much-needed pause to think and reflect. I offer a calm, supportive and confidential space where you will be heard without judgement.

People come to see me to talk about all sorts of problems in their lives. It might be that you feel stuck, perhaps repeating a familiar pattern and wish to make changes but are unsure of the way forward. You may be feeling depressed, anxious or overwhelmed, finding it hard to manage challenges in your life. Or you may be experiencing a significant life transition and trying to make sense of what this means for you. Whatever you are facing, we will explore it together with compassion and curiosity.

I work with clients online, providing open-ended and short-term therapy.

I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Brighton and have trained in CBT.

Practice description

I am interested in thinking about how the present may be informed by the past. Our day-to-day behaviours, emotions and thoughts are influenced by our early relationships and experiences and what we made of them. Exploring this together can be useful, creating a deeper understanding of your current difficulties and opening up new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Counselling is a collaborative process with both of us working together. Building a therapeutic relationship with each client is of central importance to me. This is your time each week to think about what’s happening in your life, tell your story and reflect on how you feel.

I have trained in CBT and may bring these techniques into the therapy to complement my psychodynamic approach.

I adhere to the BACP’s ethical guidelines at all times, offering a private space to hear whatever might be on your mind.

I have experience working with a diverse range of clients, and am committed to an inclusive practice.

My first session

Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place online at the same time each week.

Our first conversation is a free 30-minute call. It’s an opportunity for us to meet, explore what has brought you to therapy, and for you to get a sense of whether I am the right counsellor for you.

If this feels like the time to start counselling, email me to set up an initial conversation.
