About me and my therapy practice

It’s fair to say that our modern way of life can be overwhelming ... and trigger difficult feelings. Our very human experiences of grief and loss, difficulties in relationships or struggles with life transitions may all lead to questions of meaning and identity. My aim is to create a space to explore and understand whatever you’re struggling with - whether it’s loss or trauma, anxiety, stress and depression, low self-worth or shame – just some of the feelings which can stem from the complexity of life experiences

I can help you with:

• Grief and bereavement: life transitions and change; health diagnoses

• Relationship problems: family, friends, romantic

• Identity and belonging: sexuality, social identify, finding meaning

• Work stresses: demotivation or dissatisfaction

• Making sense of neurodiversity: a diagnosis such as ADHD or autism

• Intimacy and sex in relationships: the complexity of human sexuality, the loss of libido

My background is in grief and bereavement through my work as a humanist funeral celebrant and through my work as a non-religious pastoral support worker for my local hospice. I am a Londoner, intensely interested in people and curious about the many different lived experiences. My own life experiences of complex relationships, of love and loss and the search for meaning in among it all, often inform my work with clients.

Practice description

I am an integrative therapist which means I use various therapeutic approaches to help you, so our work together will be tailored to you and your needs. There is no one size fits all in therapy – it is about who you are, and what you bring.

Together we will create a unique relationship which encourages space for understanding and self-compassion. Therapy can provide a container for old wounds to be exposed and healed, allowing hope, change and growth to emerge.

To me, therapy is about the relationship, which is why my central approach is relational. I work with compassion and empathy, aiming to build trust, safety and honesty as the foundation of our work together. Having a non-judgmental witness can have a transformational effect; being listened to as you tell your story can bring insight, understanding and healing.
