I offer sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 7.30am and 6pm.
I offer a hybrid of online and in-person therapy.
About me and my therapy practice
I believe that whatever problems we face, real change can only come about through a deeper understanding ourselves. I work with clients to try to help them make sense of their current difficulties, before examining more about who they are and why some patterns might get consistently repeated in their lives or relationships.
I offer weekly 50 minute sessions, both in person and online. I generally work long-term with clients, although you can obviously choose to finish at any time that feels right, whether that's after 6 weeks or 6 years.
I can also offer a specific fixed number of sessions, for example 16 or 20, where we can focus our work together around a specific issue or area of your life.
I work with a range of issues including relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, depression, or a sense of feeling lost or directionless. I also work with clients who feel overwhelmed or anxious about the demands of their life, whether at work or in relationships.
Qualifications and Experience:
I have an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Birkbeck, University of London, and an MSc in Occupational Psychology from the University of Nottingham.
I trained and practiced for a number of years in an NHS psychotherapy department. I am currently a counsellor at a mental health charity in London alongside my private practice.
Practice description
I offer a confidential space to explore who you are, where you want to go, and what might be stopping you. I take an unstructured approach. I don't offer a specific set of tools or techniques, but rather try to work together to find the best path to a deeper understanding of your desires and difficulties.
The first part of therapy is about understanding what is happening for you and why you are seeking help. Some of the work may involve looking deeper into your past and making links to current experiences, although much of the work will focus on what is happening for you now and how feelings and behaviours play out in your daily life and relationships.
My first session
I offer a free, no commitment, 20 minute online consultation as a chance to understand why you are seeking therapy and for us to see if we might be a good fit to work together.
