About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and feel heard. I work collaboratively, at a pace that feels right for you, helping you make sense of what is happening now while also exploring the experiences, relationships and patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing.

My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT-informed ways of working. In practice, this may involve giving space to your feelings and experiences, exploring the impact of the past, and where helpful developing practical tools to manage difficult thoughts, emotions or situations.

I work in a trauma-informed and culturally responsive way, recognising that our identity, background, relationships, faith and life experiences can all shape how we see ourselves and the world. I support adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, grief and bereavement, trauma, relationship difficulties, workplace pressures, identity or belonging concerns, and the impact of harmful or abusive religious or spiritual experiences.

Therapy is not about being told what to do. It is a space to reflect, gain clarity, strengthen understanding of self and make choices that feel more aligned with who you are.

I offer 50-minute counselling sessions in person in Clapham and London Bridge, as well as online across the UK.

Practice description

Welcome. Seeking counselling can feel like a big step, particularly when life feels overwhelming or you have been carrying difficult experiences alone. I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space in which you can talk openly, feel heard and begin to make sense of what is happening for you.

I am an integrative, trauma-informed counsellor. This means I tailor therapy to you, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT-informed approaches. We may explore your current concerns alongside relationships, earlier experiences and recurring patterns; where useful, we can also develop practical ways to manage difficult thoughts, feelings and situations.

I work collaboratively and at a pace that feels safe and manageable. I will not tell you what to do. Instead, I will support you to gain clarity, deepen self-understanding and make choices that feel right for you.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, grief and bereavement, trauma, relationship difficulties and workplace pressures. I also have a particular interest in issues of identity, belonging and mixed-heritage experience, and in supporting people affected by harmful faith experiences or spiritual abuse.

I offer 50-minute sessions in person in Clapham and London Bridge, and online throughout the UK. Please get in touch if you would like to explore whether counselling with me may be helpful.

My first session

Before booking, I offer a brief 15-minute telephone consultation. This is an opportunity for us to discuss what has brought you to counselling, what you would like support with, and whether I may be the right therapist for you. We can also cover practical matters such as availability, format, fees and location. This is not a therapy session, and there is no obligation to continue.

Your first counselling session lasts 50 minutes. We will begin by talking about what you hope to gain from counselling and agree how we might work together. I will explain confidentiality and its limits, consent, cancellation arrangements, how your information is kept, and what to do if you need support between sessions.

To make sure counselling is safe and appropriate for you, I will ask some gentle assessment questions about your current wellbeing, previous support, health or medication where relevant, support network and any immediate safety concerns. I may also invite you to complete brief wellbeing questionnaires. You only need to share what feels manageable; there is no expectation that you tell your whole story in the first session.

By the end, we can decide together whether to continue and, if so, agree a regular session time.
