About me and my therapy practice
I am Jill, a Counselling Psychologist with experience of working with adults, adolescents, young people, couples and neurodivergent individuals. I also work with adults affected by adoption. I work with a range of challenging issues and psychological difficulties including anxiety, depression, loss, relationship issues, attachment problems, trauma, life transitions, identity and low self-esteem.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, which a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. I aim to create a safe, nurturing, and non-judgemental space where you feel comfortable exploring your experiences and feelings, enabling you to make meaningful and lasting change in how you feel, live your life, and relate to others. During the therapeutic process you will be heard, respected, and supported in navigating life’s emotional challenges. Whatever difficulties you are facing, there is a way through.
Practice description
Drawing on a range of approaches including Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Existentialism, therapy will be tailored to your individual needs.
