Availability
I currently offer online counselling sessions Monday to Saturday, with availability between 11:00am and 7:00pm. This range allows for flexibility around work, caring responsibilities, health needs, and other commitments. I understand that finding time for counselling can feel challenging, particularly when life already feels busy or demanding, and I aim to offer appointments that are as accessible as possible.
Sessions are arranged by mutual agreement, and I do my best to accommodate individual circumstances wherever I can. Whether you prefer daytime sessions or later appointments, we can discuss what works best for you and review this as your needs change. Online counselling also means there is no travel time, making it easier to attend sessions consistently and with less disruption to your routine.
Availability may vary from week to week, and I encourage clients to get in touch to discuss current openings or to ask any questions about scheduling. My aim is to work collaboratively to find a time that supports continuity and a sense of stability in the counselling process.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified integrative counsellor offering online therapy to adults. I work with people who may appear to be coping on the outside but feel overwhelmed, low, anxious, or emotionally burdened inside. Many of the clients I support are people who carry responsibility for others — partners, carers, parents, or individuals managing illness in their own lives — and who find it difficult to prioritise their own emotional needs.
As a male counsellor from an ethnic background, I bring an awareness of how culture, family expectations, gender roles, and identity can influence emotional wellbeing and help-seeking. For some people, these influences are subtle and unspoken; for others, they are central to their difficulties. I aim to offer a therapeutic relationship where difference is acknowledged respectfully, without assumptions or judgement.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and paced to suit the individual. I recognise that not everyone finds it easy to talk about feelings, particularly those who have learned to cope independently or to stay strong for others. Therapy does not require you to be articulate or to know exactly what you want to say. My role is to provide a steady, confidential space where experiences can be explored safely and at your own pace.
I work with adults of all genders, cultures, sexual orientations, and backgrounds, and I am committed to offering an inclusive and respectful therapeutic environment.
Practice description
I offer online counselling, allowing clients to access therapy from the privacy and comfort of their own space. Working online can reduce practical barriers such as travel, time pressures, or health-related limitations, and many clients find it easier to engage consistently in therapy this way.
My work is integrative and relational, drawing on a person-centred foundation while being responsive to each client’s individual needs. I support clients experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, and the emotional impact of illness or caring responsibilities. I have particular experience working with people who feel emotionally overloaded but struggle to express this openly, including men who find talking about feelings unfamiliar or uncomfortable.
Therapy with me focuses on helping clients make sense of their experiences, recognise patterns that may be contributing to distress, and develop greater emotional awareness and self-compassion. This may involve exploring current pressures, past experiences, relationships, or internal conflicts, depending on what feels most relevant for the client.
I also welcome clients from the LGBTQ+ community and those who may feel uncertain about whether counselling will fully understand their experiences. My aim is to offer a space where clients do not need to explain or justify their identity, and where the focus remains on their emotional wellbeing and personal meaning.
My first session
The first counselling session provides an opportunity for us to get to know each other and to explore whether working together feels appropriate. It is a space for you to talk about what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to gain, at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable.
There is no expectation to share everything or to discuss anything you are not ready to talk about. Many clients, particularly those new to counselling or those who are not used to talking about emotions, find the first session helpful simply as a space to speak openly without pressure or judgement.
During the first session, I will also explain how counselling works, discuss practical matters such as confidentiality and boundaries, and answer any questions you may have. We may begin to explore your current concerns and what support might be most helpful moving forward, but the primary focus is on creating a sense of safety and trust within the therapeutic relationship.
You are encouraged to use the first session to reflect on whether the way I work feels right for you. Counselling is a collaborative process, and it is important that you feel comfortable and supported.
