Availability
I offer a range of flexible scheduling options to accommodate the diverse needs of my clients. My primary availability is during weekdays, providing consistent and convenient sessions for those with standard daytime commitments. In addition, I offer one evening session each week for individuals who have work, study or other daytime obligations, ensuring access to support without disrupting personal or professional routines.
To further enhance accessibility, I provide one weekend session each month. This option is particularly suitable for clients who may travel during the week, have irregular schedules or find weekends a more convenient time for reflection and personal development. By combining weekday, evening, and occasional weekend sessions, I aim to create a scheduling structure that is both consistent and adaptable, allowing clients to prioritise their wellbeing with minimal stress or conflict.
I recognise that every client’s circumstances are unique and my approach to scheduling reflects this. Whether you prefer a regular weekday session, a weekly evening appointment or a monthly weekend option, I am committed to offering accessible and supportive opportunities for engagement. My goal is to remove barriers to seeking guidance and personal growth, fostering an environment in which consistent and meaningful progress is achievable for all.
About me and my therapy practice
I’m Allison, a qualified psychotherapist based in the UK, originally trained in Los Angeles, California, as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I specialise in both person-centred and behavioural therapy, blending a warm, collaborative style with practical tools that support meaningful, lasting change. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, tailoring each session to what works best for you and helping you move toward your personal goals. I currently offer sessions remotely, via online video or phone, making support accessible wherever you are.
My sessions are grounded in genuine care, offering a space that is open, creative and non-judgmental. I work with adults navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, burnout, grief, stress, or simply wanting to reconnect with themselves. My focus is on truly hearing you, understanding your unique experiences and creating a supportive environment where you can explore, reflect and grow. I aim to help you build awareness, resilience and strategies to feel more empowered in your life.
Having lived in another country myself, I understand the challenges of navigating new cultures, identities and life changes. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and strive to create a space that feels safe, inclusive and empowering. I bring mindfulness, compassion and respect for each client’s story into every session, recognising that every journey is unique and requires an approach that honours individuality.
I am deeply committed to my work as a therapist and passionate about supporting others on their journey of personal growth and self-discovery. By combining empathy, practical tools and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, I aim to help clients navigate life’s challenges, build resilience and reconnect with a sense of authenticity and wellbeing.
Practice description
I offer therapeutic support to adults aged 18 and over, drawing on a blend of evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual. My practice integrates behavioural therapies, including Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with person-centred, eclectic, and integrative methods. This allows me to adapt sessions to your unique needs, creating a collaborative and reflective space where meaningful change can take place.
I work with clients experiencing stress, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions and burnout. My approach combines practical tools with a warm, non-judgmental and supportive style, helping clients build awareness, resilience, and strategies to feel more empowered in their lives. Sessions are designed to be flexible and accessible, offered online or via phone, to fit around your schedule and life commitments.
I do not work with clients experiencing psychotic symptoms, chronic eating disorders, addiction issues, active suicidal ideation, or behaviours that present an immediate risk to life. My focus is on creating a safe and structured environment for those who are ready to engage in personal growth, reflection and practical problem-solving.
By blending multiple therapeutic approaches, I aim to provide support that is both adaptable and client-centred. Each session is collaborative, encouraging exploration and self-understanding while also providing tools and strategies that can be applied in daily life. My goal is to help clients navigate challenges, reconnect with themselves, and move toward a greater sense of wellbeing.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute consultation to give you an opportunity to see if we are a good fit to work together. This initial conversation allows us to meet, discuss your needs and explore what you are looking for from therapy. It is a relaxed, no-obligation session where you can ask questions, share your concerns and get a sense of my approach and style.
The consultation is designed to help you feel comfortable and informed before committing to regular sessions. It also allows me to understand your goals and provide guidance on how therapy might support you. Together, we can decide whether moving forward feels right, ensuring that the therapeutic relationship is built on trust, clarity and mutual understanding from the start.
Offering this brief consultation reflects my commitment to a collaborative approach, making sure therapy is accessible and tailored to your needs. It’s an opportunity for you to feel confident and supported in taking the next step toward personal growth and wellbeing.
